Did he remove the spring as well as the piston, or did he just take the oil out of the dashpot? I used to have twin 1.5" SU's on my Mini Cooper 'S' and they were very difficult to balance correctly. After lots of experiment I found using a thin machine oil, similar to that used for sewing machine lubrication gave the best results. Most tuners just replaced the twin 1.25" SU's with a single 1.5", but that was the lazy way out Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
