nobbie
This is what happens when someone ignores a wheel bearing when they're selling a car. They then undo the hubnut, and tighten it to FT!! The broken down wheel bearing then rattles about on the stub axel, and makes a squeaking noise on the other bearing as the knackered one loads it up. The result is creeping geo, and eventually a droning, and then a lot of fun pressing bearings and trying to find used Scooby hubs!. I now need to get back to tony's for another geo as it's going to be rubbish!!
Tony
Blimey the wear looks advanced to say the least..... How long has the bearing been noisy?
nobbie
Well i brought the car with 67k, and it only started squeaking on the other side at about 78k, then i started changing things like drop links, calipers, disks, etc, as i couldn't hear any droning, and couldn't feel any play. Then the droning started!
Tony
In the absence of noise from the bearing i would have done the same replacing known satellite components like drop-links.
nobbie
That's what i said, you learn something new every day!!. Do you guy do a separate re-tune price, or is it gonna be another full geo @ £99, and some more coffee?

Do you guy do a separate re-tune price, or is it gonna be another full geo @ £99, and some more coffee? Yes we do have a separate fine-tune price of £30+ vat including adjustments. The reason for this is some of the track peeps change the calibration for different tracks so it's only fair to offer a discount since we may see the car several times a year.
