phipck Posted March 11, 2015 Report Share Posted March 11, 2015 I live in Ludlow, the nearest one would be Kidderminster I think at 23 miles, or Shrewsbury and Hereford are 25 miles away. Theres been quite strict rules historically about what the Ludlow council allows to opened here and Mcdonalds really doesn't fit in. Its a tiny Medieval market town with more listed buildings than i've had hot dinners. Ludlow council only accepted a Tesco be built if it followed by some ridiculous restrictions, like not impeding the look of the surrounding buildings or views, so Ludlow Tesco has a roof the exact same shape as the hill line behind it to get round that requirement!
