The refund is a percentage for the unused remaining tread... Half worn then half your replacement fee back. So I guess you need to prove you actually bought the tyre from new? Otherwise people could be buying badly damaged worn ones that are still guaranteed and try to claim on them? No. The refund is compensated against the cost of the replacement. You need to purchase a new tyre. Have the fault inspected (free) then the remaining tread acts as a percentage toward a refund of the replacement tyre. this is all good stuff been fixing cars for 27 years and never knew this DOH
