I’ve never heard of salt being used in a car to keep it dry, as it absorbs moisture there will be salt in the air ( bit like the seaside ) and I’m sure it would do more harm than good. Caravan though is probably steel chassis and wood and/or aluminium sides s less chance of a problem. The drying bags are good as they have a spot that changes colour and then you dry them in the microwave. I’ve got two small ones in my car you may need more or some bigger ones.

 I think they wreck a lot of places then have to landscape them afterwards or plant trees where they have destroyed ancient woodland.

Yes, 1.8 before. Not a lot of difference to be honest. Regularly get 55 mog even on a short drive 😀

Yes, I changed the other one after a year as I saw a special edition I liked. Old one had only done 3000 miles.

So the new one is called Orange Edition, I've had it two years ( just serviced ) and it's only done 2,500 mile. Really nice car and it's 2 litre so a bit more fun

I do, just can’t be arsed to inform everybody if I removed it, plus I’m still on pay as you go so would need to get a mobile contract and carry my mobile everywhere with me

No, but it doesn't work as it's the old style wiring and I suspect it's got bits missing. It was given to me as a leaving present as my job dictated as a support role I was always on the phone

Just checked my renewal after I had paid, ie insurance for next 12 months and it says NCB 16 years !!!

Well yesterday I ordered my next CHR, my third, a 1.8 GR Sport in Scarlet Flare with leather. Checked the app this morning and they have one built and ready to ship from Turkey. Probably get it end of March / April 😃Â
