you need as much rubber as you can get with your monster on an 8" you can go for 225 or 235 with a 40 profile Thanks Bazza i have worn the rear tyres down , will get the 235x40x17

When my wheels was 7x17 and tyres 214x45x17 , my wheels are now 8x17 , so what size tyres should i fit please ?

Loads of grease and a rubber boot , if you cant find a boot use some strong plastic and cable tie's .
