  4. Thats really good to hear Justin Thanks for posting it, I'm just glad that more & more cars are now, thanks to Tony, driving as they should be p.s. backhanders/finders fees greatfully accepted
  5. Just wondering if there is or should be certification for centres which do alignment etc. So that the tester has to prove that he can do the job properly. I only say this because prior to visiting our Guru, I had mine done twice (supposed laser alignment) at a local tyre centre. 1st visit - My car came out of the centre with its steering wheel crooked, meaning to drive in a straight line I had to hold the wheel as if I was turning a corner and the alignment feeling no better. 2nd visit - The 'boy' straightened up my wheel, did what seemed like loads of adjustments but driving away from the centre the car was all over the place !! It is worrying that these centres are charging people but are obviously making things possibly worse than better. Also the trouble is unless you have it done by a competent person such as Tony, you will not necessarily know any different What are your thoughts ? & Does anyone else have a total incompetence tale to tell ?

    High or Low

mmmm yes I know it sounds strange but the edition (S Special) came with Bilsteins as a standard extra which were lower than stock (which I didn't realise beforehand) so even though the Spax's are supposedly lower the car is now slightly higher as they are not as low as the Bilsteins were

    High or Low

My Roadster originally had Bilstein suspension fitted, but was tired, worn & knocking Most MX5/Roadster owners go for the KYB/AGX set up, but I deciede to go a different route. The Bilsteins were changed for the Spax PSX 28pt adjustable set up (lowering 20-40mm) (Ideally I would have liked to have D2 Coilovers fitted by was unable to justify the use & cost ) I have found with the set up now (shocks set at 13 'clicks') that the car is far more 'planted' and cornering is improved, and with the adjustability I can set it for the type of driving (road/track/drift) I am doing. Fitting was relatively easy although the springs fit on what looks upside down to the eye (writing wrong way up) and the tech guys at Spax were unable to tell me which way up they went !! The only disapointment with the Spax's is that although the lowering was supposed to be -20 to 40mm the car now sits slightly higher that it did with the original set up.
