Haha ha ha ha. Oh dear me. I have just fell in ! I have been promoted to “ advanced “ status On the Forum. There’s me thinking it was because of my forum input But NO ! It was referring to my 80 years of age, Can’t get much more advanced than that , OMG....
-
Hi Ray,
Ranks are based on the number of posts members have made so once you hit 30 posts you became an advanced member. When you hit 100 that will change to club post guru and dedicated club poster for 500 posts.

Rich ! At 500 posts I would probably be found strangled in a ditch alongside the A41..... Best regards from Ray... collins ..

Got your message Tony. Re contacting joe direct ETC via the ‘ call centre’ concerning the spacers issue on my MX5
I have now been in touch with JOE and all is sorted now, Get well soon my friend Best regards. ...RAY..-
Thanks....
There's been some changes to the forum, even i'm struggling but Invision who's engine we use is constantly keeping the forum up to date, not just the image but also members security.

Hi Ray,
I think Tony must have sent you a PM (Private Message) but you have replied on his feed page, which everyone can see. I'm not sure if you realise that?
-
Thanks Rich, No, I hadn’t realised that, -As I previously mentioned in a previous reply, “I know very little about the way’s of the Internet and often just look for a place in which to Plant a reply,“ However, I can see your point about putting a reply on a private feed’ that everyone else can see, etc, When it was In fact intended for Tony himself, I will try to master this frigging Internet even if it takes me 50 years “”Oh wait a minute“” not a feasible proposition at 80 years of age !, Anyway Thanks Rich,

I notice that Tony displays a Ferrari 360 Spider at the head of his posts ! I had one myself I bought it from the proceeds of a serious road accident It belonged to Tim Martin ( Wetherspoon owner ) Its a long story I sold it at a loss in 2018 It had a Tubie exhaust system That noise is as good as it gets Even better than the sound of a TVR on full song, They were the days eh. Lovely memories. Ray

Nothing sad about that Tony, It’s all in the mind, My one was bought with the proceeds of a serious road accident, my wife told me to go out and treat myself to a nice car as I wasn’t getting any younger, I did, I bought a 360 Spider She could not believe her eyes She retorted “ you silly git. I meant something like a Ford Fiesta .. I then spent £32,000 on a full Ferrari Hamann spoiler kit and Wheels,
Then offered it for sale to a Ferrari specialist At first he said he wouldn’t be interested because of the spoiler kit etc
but when he saw it he bought it on the spot He phoned me three days later to tell me that he had been in the trade for 40 years and thought he knew everything about buying and selling Ferrari’s He said “ the first person to walk into my showroom“ “walked past every other car and made a ‘ B ‘ line for the Hamann Ferrari and bought it I still go out of my door and look at my MX5 and still see a Ferrari 360 spider sitting there in my dreams, But lovely memories I have of owning that Red Ferrari with Magnolia piped leather, Enjoy your replica Tony I’ve seen them at motor shows and they look fantastic ... best regards Tony ...Ray...

I was lucky in truth, the seller was a desperate seller and i agreed the 15k asking price.... I spent around 10k on extras like Ferrari seats, glass and so on.
My issue is i think i enjoyed the chase and now it's done i'm losing interest.

Sad to hear that the novelty of owning your replica is wearing thin, Imagine owning the real thing and then not being able to enjoy it because the funds run out ! That’s what happened to me Tony, I blew all my Insurance money on an expensive Ferrari And ‘hadn’t given a thought to the cost of owning and running it. Etc,
Anyway, I had my little MX5 lowered Last Thursday and very pleased. Every MX5 should have this modification if they haven’t already. Best way to enhance the looks ... Your staff member Joe What a nice guy, eh...
get to rekindle your enthusiasm for your replica Tony We have a guy in our village with a replica 355 Ferrari and it fooled me I often looked at it and thought to myself. He must feel like “Charlie Bananas“ Then one day I met him at a car show and he confided in me that it was a replica ,
He loved it for ‘what it was’ ,
Why pay £30,000 for a Designer ‘hand bag‘ when you can buy an identical and practical replica for £20 quid over the market ? Who’s the mug ?
