  1. That's what I need. Thanks Tony I will report how it gone with the new driveshafts.
  2. Thanks Rich. I am going to buy both shafts since the price is reasonable.
  3. Yes, I think that's their proper name. By the way here is the link http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Q-Drive-Front-Left-Driveshaft-FORD-MONDEO-1-8-SCI-2-0-16V-2-0-TDCI-/231070664263?ssPageName=ADME:X:EAC:US:3160 for one of the drive shafts I want to purchase. I have never heard for Q-drive brand...
  4. Bit update folks...After unusual trouble with rear shock I found my front right side is somehow bit lowered than left one. We found out spring is 1,6 cm lower than on the opposite side. I just couldn't got it why is like that, neither mechanics could too. We decided to get used front OEM spring and oEM rear shock and to replace it. It is significant better on the rear side ride but guess what I got right after? My good old front end strange vibration in full light again!!! . My mechanic took a first ride after he's done with the spring and rear shock replacement and he found himself so confused about it I was almost started to laugh out loud (you know that idiotic lunatic like laugh...). But right after first shock we realize something. We got in the straight good level front end with changing the lowered spring. Car is significantly higher then it was and proper leveled. So what could got move or be bad in this scenario? We realized that is drive shafts. By changing the car's height we changed the position of the tripod inside the inner CV joint on left side. Couple years ago that drive shaft was replaced but with the one taken from scrap yard since it is mission impossible to get Mondeo Mk3 drive shafts in this part of the world. So we decided to purchase couple from Europarts in Great Britain through the ebay.co.uk. Does anyone has some experiences with that company and their stuff? I would be appreciate if you could say something about to them......Thanks in advance...
  5. Yes I can get them but as the genuine ones are made by Sachs I will buy that in aftermarket.... Well, I've been told by many people here their issues with Monroe shocks. And some mechanics who used to use them won't use it anymore. The truth is that Monroe haven't shined here on our market. It doesn't mean Monroe as brand is not good but most likely that I am just in category of those few percent of people who statistically have chance to experience some issues with them since they are really in huge presence here and sell lots of their stuffs. But the point is I won't use it any more....
  6. I bought Monroe. But I won't anymore...It seems that strange vibration I had noticed back in august 2012 were caused by bad shock definitively. I have managed to make them silenced by changing hydro bushings on the lower arm and top strut mountings but I didn't solve the cause of vibrations. In fact now when I know about that play in rear shock some loud sounds I have noticed during the cold days make sense.
  7. Well I am gonna do it as soon as I get some money. Those things are pretty expensive....
  8. This is pic from Mk2 Mondeo not Mk3 . This is the lower arm on Mk3. I think the reason why manufacturer choose the bolt get from up not from down is because they assemble sub-frame not on the car but on the table/production line. Then they do so called "marriage" chassis with the sub frame in order to make production more efficient. So they don't concern bolt loosening and drop out but lower costs and speed.
  9. Yes they had been changed back in 02/2012. 56.000 km so far. It was the whole damper not insert type. This is how the rear damper/shock looks like
  10. Yes we did. On the right side rock solid. No play or anything suspicious. On the left side there is play in the shock piston you can sense by touch it. Shock do its work well although on some constant little imperfections on the road (surface like tinny waves) some more noise occurs but nothing more.
  11. This evening I set on couple beers with my good fella, nice and experienced Ford's mechanic. Told him about my trouble. After an hour we got in his shop and after another half of hour searching for the play in left wheel we found that shock absorber piston has an lateral play! So that is producing that thud sound. Not always, but occasionally and mostly right after car is being driven. Shock as itself is in good condition and we couldn't see it is leaking or something. Just that lateral movement of the piston in its housing. Can that play be the cause of vibrations? I think it can.....
  12. Yes thud. I didn't know the english word for that so I couldn't type. Like you are reading my minds Tony.
  13. I jacked up the car yesterday and it seems there isn't any play in that wheel. Just that knock feeling and sound associated when shake the wheel while car is on the ground.
  14. Oh God I have mentioned all but not which car's end is in the issue. Rear end, yes. Left side wheel.
