  1. Poor cows? Yes poor cows, but look at how many people died in those! A lot more people than cows and not all of them were the ones that made the judgement error. I agree Tony, never drive in Russia!
  2. It would make a difference, especially if you are near or over 100k.
  3. You will probably find that it has a sock filter(prefilter) to prevent the large pieces of junk entering the fuel pump, then a secondary filter built into the regulator. Ahh it's a bit delicate, can understand that. That's where it gets really expensive =) Edit: Had a look at your fuel setup on an online manual. There is a sock pre-filter, with the fuel pump/regulator/filter built into a plastic housing that slides in and out of the tank. I take it it's this housing that people are breaking when they take the tank apart? Could see the float being bent too if someone wasn't careful. If you keep getting driveability issues these filters would need to be changed. There is a risk too that you might run lean when you 'get on it' if the filters are bad enough, but TBH you 'should' see codes before this happens. Hopefully cleaning the throttlebody will cure it. I can see why you don't want to mess with the fuel pump. There are a couple quick disconnects that need to be undone and as the plastic gets older they become less 'quick' and more a PITA!
  4. Newer cars have them more and more built into the fuel pump assembly along with the regulator, least the cheap cars from what I have seen.
  5. Triple digits! It's illegal to drive over 70mph! Most people seem to get at least 25-26mpg around town so it could be better. Even on a long cruise I didn't touch 30mpg! You might just have to pull the pump yet =) It was a joke, would be insane to drive that fast on the road.
  6. Your fuel pump assembly screwed into the tank? How is it built? Glad it's running better. Considering you run a lot of city miles 22 isn't too bad. The MPG doesn't really clock up until you start cruising at a steady speed, preferably below triple digits.
  7. Tried the foam tape too... didn't stick either. Going to go the 3m route and see if that stuff will stick.
  8. Could probably do with the throttle body cleaned out with attention to the idle air control. When was your fuel filter changed out?
  9. Hmm will have to look into it more. Not all tapes are created equal =)
  10. I am trying to fit a 3ft length of LED lights into my boot along a metal support. I have cleaned it with alcohol and applied double sided tape, but the tape keeps coming undone. Any ideas?
  11. If you tap it out you will not have the same load strength, but it would probably be good enough.
  12. You driving in the city a lot? That's not too far off if that's the case. Air-filters do make a difference. There isn't a 'placebo' effect with them at all. It's just not noticeable really since the power gains are not large enough for the butt dyno to register it. That filter looks pretty dirty. Just think of how well you could breath if you had to breath through something like that =) More restriction on the intake the more vacuum you need to pull the same air volume through the filter. More vacuum means more work for the engine(pump). You did find that drive-ability changes a lot with a little gain in torque.
  13. Wondered if this happened =) They bind up on the springs after a while?
  14. Haha in other words we try to keep it right but it's not always going to be the case. You follow at your own risk lol
  15. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7ihQP6tLN1E =)
  16. Don't have my car =( Dodge days 100k miles.. People have been snapping them at 75k....
  17. ... No wonder people mount cameras on their car!
  18. Haha someone didn't do their homework in physics class! Shock loading FTW.
  19. Wait for the ban stick... until they can find a way to tax it!
