  9. this clip was on sky news last night, apparently he has been offered a job with a house by the states basketball team..... more research needed to confirm that, but if it is true then we have all paid part in making a mans life better
  10. if he though they were that epic he should have driven to the end of the pit and doubled back up to them!
  11. most modern cars will display something on the codes, if you have had the coolent sensor faulty then its possible others are around their time too. How old is the car? Most parts have a life span and although sensors tend to last ages it is possible for them to fail. My mr2's Lambda is on its way out, which make the car run rich, idle faster then drop down. but i have a spare new one and sensors arnt normaly expensive thankfuly..... might find the cause of your current problem was a contributing factor to your last!
  12. have you tried driving simularly in first? the reason i ask is first and second are obviously quite light gears, third might be too high a ratio to show simular signs. In my old desiel 307 estate it was a combination of worn engine mounts and sluggish sensors in the inlet (air temp possibly i cant remember exactly). this caused a chuddering effect at low revs as the car couldnt accuratly keep the mixture right so the engine would drop from gentle acceloration to gentle engine braking and added was the worn engine mounts which would normally reduce its effect. I didnt generally notice it in first as i only used it to pull away and third was high torque so didnt show the signs. But trying it low revs slow movement in first did show the same.... give it a little rev and none of the symptoms.... so could be something simple like air tem, Lambda or throttle sensor?
  13. shows the other side to homelessness, not all homeless people are there now because of their lifestyle choices. the mans been clean for 2 years and still in the slums. A shame, an utter shame
  14. yup thats the patience game but it does pay off when you start being able to read body language enough to know when they will be moving to the right possition. Some very good shots dude!
  15. all well and good saying that, but not everyone who would be in the teaching roll would be able to manage the punishment apropriatly. At 9 years old I was hit in school by a teacher, i am ambidexrous and needed to hold something in my left hand while writing else i struggled to coordinate very well. The substitute teacher, the husbound of the head of year, didnt take well to this unusual practice and decided to take the pebble i was holding away. I asked for it back to which the teacher got stern and fiery, other children said the same that i needed the stone and we all got shouted at in a rage. He put the pebble back on my desk and when i picked it up he struck me across the side of the head with the palm of his hand, i went to the ground like a sack of spuds, my glasses were broken and the pebble was thrown by the teacher across the room, hitting another child. Some people are NOT capable of bistowing apropriate punishment, some people are NOT capable of understanding what should be punishable, some teachers should not be in the privalaged and responcible possition they hold and the idea of bringing back any form of physical punishment makes me uncomfortable for when i have children.
  16. loud yes, but clever use of acousticly amplifying environment.... double yes!
  17. one small confusion though..... why that song.... the lyrics seem so out of place
  18. wow! im quite open minded about the universe and the scale of things, but it always amazes me when its put comparatively in front of me!
  19. they previously advertised it as a great sports car entry solution, removing the awkward long door access issues...... the only issue would be the car would have to be an additional 6" off the ground to manage the bulkier floor pan.... and have you seen the interior function, just vulgar! Please wait a few moments for Video to Load!

    Snow chains

cycling in the snow this afternoon i saw a mid 90's skyline struggling on a slight incline, wheelspinning to solve his problem........ only to carry on struggling, so he got his girlfriend to get out and push as he....... wheelspan to try and get up the slight hill. THEN HE GOT OUT! car still in gear and wheels still turning but because he wasnt gunning it, strangly the car managed to grip a little and he almost did what the BMW lady did except toward lots of stationary traffic! some people have no sence!
  21. almost tragicly funny...... i can almost imagine that being a retelling of true events!
