  1. The car is on good year tyres iirc now, the run flats were binned around 1.5 years ago now because they can also only be repaired once. We will see how lexus deal with it . . . . Infact get Glasgow to ring RRG Bolton and see if they have had a problem with any, as Lexus GB should be we aware of the problem with our car
  2. What problems are you having ant apart from it leaning?
  3. They have offered it to buy it off him but at market value, which is around 14k trade in. The cars going back one final time before its returned to carilse where the car was purchased new, for hopefully a refund plus costs. Hopefully it won't come down to this and the only reason this 09 sport has an extended warranty is because of the problems
  4. That system only made it onto a hand full of cars in the UK I thought. What year and spec is your GS? Our problems started when the rear one was replaced the first time along with a shocker. I highly doubt the motor seizing will cause the car height to change that much . I maybe wrong
  5. From the lexus tech documents the roll bar only works with sport button and is only fitted to selected cars. Could you forward me as much info lexus have given you as this is proving intresting if yours has a motor fail and is also leaning
  6. My rear motor had failed but I don't believe the active stabilizer works with without the button. I would buy coilivers and bin the full system if it was my car, but its my old fellas. His car has gone through 17k atmoment and still counting
  7. If the wheel is off center to the right, holding it central will induce a left pull. But I can't remember if it has ever been off center to the left so when you hold it central it pulls right. The off center bit is again some times present, sometimes not
  8. Yes it does. The steering angle sensor has been changed along with the steering column which houses a couple of sensors The lexus L's had problems with the wheels not returning to a central position so the wheel would be off centre
  9. Alsothe car never had this problem from a day old to 2 years in until lexus started swapping bits
  10. The lean changes. The road has been driven over around 15 times and changes depending on how it has been handling if that makes sense? The problem with the video is most of the time the wheel is off centre, despite the geo being setup approx 6 times. Sometimes its central hence no pull, off centre creates a pull, so when you let go it drifts. If it was wide tyres surly it should stay straight but follow the camber or tramlines in the road not pull like you are turning? The lean is pro ally why its handling so bad
  11. http://youtu.be/WtK5-VJ23ZQ Here is the video, The video is very Long (20 mins) and this is for Lexus Bolton to view, in case they say nothing is wrong or the car is being driven too harsh etc. Key points to look at are: 1:27 til 1:38 Car pulls to left after right hand turn when car is pointing dead ahead. 1:45 Steering wheel is let go and car drives true 2:55 3:10 Car seams to be driving quite well when the wheel has been let go of 5:05 Camber of road is running off to the left, car pulls right slightly then left, then right 6:50 Throttle is pushed to around 30%, camber of the road runs to the right, car pulls to left 7:09 Car pulls hard right when wheel is let go of. Yes this does go over a solid white line :-/ 7:31 Car pulls right again, camber runs to left 10:30 Car turns right, is put in a straight line and wheel let go to lead it hard right 15:15 Car pulls hard left 15:25 car pulls right 15:50 Car pulls right, camber of road is off to the left 17:47 Car is now leaning onto passenger side 18:11 Car can be seen still leaning onto passenger side The car preformed quite well compared to how bad it has driven recently.
  12. I'm just creating the movie but its taking a while to compress and render it. There is around 3 times it pulls heavily and is leaning, just waiting for it to finish
  13. most of the gs450h cars from 2007 onwards used the avs system, but only a limited run used the asss which controls the roll bar. The problem is happening all the time, and we believe that the roll bar only moves when the button is pressed to engage sport mode
  14. Please let us know how you get on. The 2 issues the car is having is pulling to the left or right, and uneven ride heights. still working in combing these videos to give a little picture of what is hapoening
  15. took a video today but it's hard to see the internal of the gs. just trying to edit the 2 videos together to see side by side but you can see at 4 points where the car pulls a hard right or left. car returns to lexus 28th Oct for one week. which includes a machine polish after using sponges which they was told not to wash the car . . . . ..
  16. a motor that twists the rear anti roll bar when it's in sport mode. It twists to reduce body roll, since it's the gs450h sport and there is only 91 left on the road, it's quite a rare system
  17. the car is still under extended guarantee and this was purchased as the car developed the fault at 2 years old. It all started after a creaking anti roll bar motor, and various bits that was changed. rpnderbouts or country lanes followed my straight line driving causes it , or sometimes pulling a hard left or right turn continues to make the car try to go left or right. should have a video to view tomorrow. It basically wants to pull left most of the time, but this can be cured by some miles on a motorway,
  18. Thanks parthiban its such a shame lexus say there is no problem. we're going to film the car on Sunday morning, one from behind showing the car and road, and one on the steering wheel and how the car is reacting then post the video here. The leaning changes but always seams to be onto the passenger side, sometimes it can lean, other times its flat. We will also be measuring ride height from the floor to the centre of the wheel arch at various points aswell
  19. also lexus are saying an actuator stuck would throw a fault code Into the ecu memory
  20. so you think it could be the above Tony. A possible problem with a sensor on the lower wishbone if there is one? The car is now in again on the 28th Oct. lexus said they couldn't really feel anything but will start with another geo setup and have another look into the problem. The tech also said the car needs to settle down once it has been down country lanes at a brisk pace but I think this is rubbish? they say they have never had problems with stuck actuators on the dampeners but again the car is going in. I'm going to film the car from behind and inside the car, combine the videos so lexus can look at the footage to prove the problem does exist as bad as it is
  21. If it does what could be the problem Tony? Your help has been great, can't thank you enough
  22. I can't see anywhere that mentions them on the lexus
  23. well ill ask them about faulty sensors. The steering angle sensor has already been changed and we have a full electrical print out about what values they should be testing for, but seams lexus Bolton can't check using the procedures outlined by lexus UK for some odd reason, they just like throwing £££ at the car. so far around 17k has bee spent trying to sort this problem out
