  1. Yep,2 bolts had gone awol on route and the other 3 were not far behind!
  2. Think it had bodywork and suspension on rear, rushing to get to us for geo! QC issues?
  3. Arrived with only 3 of the 5 bolts still in, and they were only on a thread or two!
  4. Slider pin is fine, well the one that is there! Just not screwed in other completely missing. One on the other caliper was half unscrewed as well! 59 plate BMW renter.
  5. Car came in for wheel alignment and the driver commented on noises from the front brakes!
  6. What readings did you get for front camber, castor and sai? Imbalance here is the most likely cause of the drift/pull?
  7. I think I would have had a go at moving the front subframe, to increase caster, but not a major issue. Caster is a bit lower than I would have expected but it is quite even, which I feel is more important.
  8. Brake cleaner is pretty good, try it on the seat back or somewhere hidden first though!
  9. Good machine, we have one. Later Hawkeye is a development from it with smaller targets on the wheels and bluetooth. Realistically most proper wheel alignment machines in good order are a good bit of kit, IF USED CORRECTLY. Any old muppet can buy the best machine and make an almighty balls-up if they don't know how to use it properly!
  10. Doubtful Would need adaptor plate, GT40 rep probably use them, shouldn't be too much of a problem! http://www.gt40s.com/forum/gt40-tech-powertrain-transaxles/29804-chevy-renault-whats-needed.html http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/CHEVY-SMALL-BLOCK-V8-UN1-RENAULT-ADAPTOR-PLATE-/200658677049 No excuse now!
  11. Chevy v8 all the way! What's up with the one you have? Cheap to rebuild or get a crate motor for it. These any good? http://www.rodsnsods.co.uk/forum/stuff-sale/4-bolt-main-350-chev-63213
  12. Worth pulling subframe to balance caster and camber, I would think.
  13. Sorry Pete, only just spotted your reply. Think it is the same car, driver Andy Cooper. In the Knockhill report he is far left in blue overalls in the trophy picture.
  14. Would it be possible to make it so we are able to renew membership before the expiry of the subscription? Rather as now, where we can only renew after the subscription has expired.
  15. Pretty sure he only nipped them up and didn't tighten them once it was back on the ground.
  16. Had this in last Friday, thanks for the info Pete. Came over from Ireland for a drift event at Oulton Park on Saturday. They also fixed a leaking diff oil seal on their X5 tow barge on axle stands outside!
  17. Not one of our jobs, I hasten to add! Chap had a puncture at home and put his own spare on but at some point on a fast road the wheel overtook him and ended up amongst the sheep!
  18. Is that the one about 1:15 in the 2nd vid coming in? I had some still footage of some cars and some moving footage of some that i deleted as i ran out of space to record and started deleting stuff to get cars leaving. I'll have to delete alot of music before the next one i go too. A good turnout though. I think i saw your cars, i had got a bit low on space by then so i was only filming stuff leaving by then. Yep thats the one, missed it 1st time! Quite a low turnout compared with late season, but excellent for April. Good videos Will see you next month? Pete
  19. Some good footage there. We went over with 3 cars from north west, all green Zephyr 4 with colour coded bumpers, white 302 supercharged cortina mk2 and my ropey 99 Dodge dakota minus a front bumper. Pity you didn't get footage of the evil green 34, spool should make it interesting to drive.
  20. Toe is adjustable, camber would require suspension arms being made adjustable! Similar platform to Mondeo/focus/c max etc.
  21. Bulletin Here http://s336.photobucket.com/albums/n321/89gtgt/mazda5/
  22. Pretty sure Mazda recalled some of these due to rear tyre wear, think they issued an alternative set up. Will have to check at work, we did a few for the local dealer!
  23. Top effort to bring the team down south Nigel, i hope they enjoyed the "whole" package despite the low turnout. Was a good weekend, good to meet up at last. Pity the turnout was lower than expected, but what was there was very impressive. One gripe though....no barmaid and martini girls, would have been ideal weather for them
