just tried to get my lexus into my local garage and they're saying they are two mechanics down and won't be able to book it in for about 3 weeks.....

I found this by example with a train of Lexus's with the same complaint..... How the flange warps, i don't know... I have an idea how they warp, it's not proven.
understood Tony, good to know, should help with diagnosing the issue

I might have to take mine down for a geo check after hitting the biggest hole I've seen the other week on the way to work. Plus I swerved and didn't go down the deepest part.
The car has felt like it's tugging to the left since and I have to correct it to the right. The car has only had one geo and that was when I bought it 8 years a go!
maybe mine hit the same pot hole - there is a huge one on Chorleywood road

The issue with the 200/ 300 is not the discs, it's the drive flange
Thanks Tony - does it tend to seize up?

Pop down to WIM and get them to check the balancing, I don't think I'd trust a tyre centre TBH.
yeah will do Rich, will go down to WIM - will probably be after xmas/new years now though

Yeah I think there may have been a pot hole - I can drive through it - its ok at 70mph - tyre centre it is then for a check up

I have been having juddering issues on my lexus when im going between 50 and 60mph. Is it geo that is off?
Getting annoying rather than stopping me from driving. Before I take it in (either garage or tyre centre) wanted to get some feedback on here to avoid wasting time and money
cheers

Glad it passed and hope you can make use of it!
With ref to your E10 question in another thread. I believe you can add dye and it separates out the ethanol.. Loads of videos on YouTube on it.. Apparently loads of classic car owners do this already
that answers a question I had as well!

Yes, my lawnmowers will require V-Power or equivalent when my 5 litre can runs out. I need to sell one but it's a nearly £700 lawnmower new so not sure of the likelihood of a sale at about £300.
are there any additives you can get from halfords?
-
do you need to start using 98 RON or Vpower once they bring it in if your car is not compatible?

If you look on Piston heads there's no Ferrari replicas for sale... DNA who were high-end builders lost their battle with Ferrari who said they were in breach of copy write.
It's for this reason i changed the number plate to T80 < my initials, DNA
I have to worries selling the car because i'm not a desperate seller.
Yeah I read in Car mag that Ferrari were coming down hard on replicas - not sure why as its pretty obvious they are not real when you see them in real life

yeah its hilarious - some of the songs and the gramophone sketch

Did my Lexus insurance the other day and ended up paying £70 more than last year - shopped around, used Confused and GoCompare and ended up with M&S with breakdown for £350 - the original quote was for £390. I tried getting a lower quote but in the end I accepted that insurance has gone up. Not sure why as most people are doing way less miles what with Covid and all....

Incredible looking v8 twin turbo lotus Esprit has come up for sale near me.
Despite it being 21 years old, she's a beaut....
Wish I had an extra £30k in cash laying around!
that one looks the business. also looks like it has been well maintained so would expect to see a pile of receipts a few inches high for thousands to keep it in good nick
nice red interior as well - looks completely spotless

https://youtu.be/xqpqc8iKn7I Remember watching this at school - a police constable would do the rounds at schools and show this film and then warn you that this is how you would end up if you did any crime. Loads of scenes from Notting Hill / Alperton / Ladbroke Grove 1975 and also the cat from red dwarf as a kid!

I've only driven it twice since refitting the battery but yes it's been fine so far.
The mpg had reset itself and the radio but apart from that everything else was ok.
These cars are made to last to be honest
Horrible judder on my IS300 between 50-60mph
