  1. Not sure of vlaue but looking at the state of the tyres and some of the chrome the owner isn't going to retire early.

My secong car was a 1959 Jaguar Mk1 3.4 auto, and it had some very similar looks to it obviously not the size and side windows. But lights, chromework and general frontal shape. Mine was first owner a very well known newspaper owner of the time. It had a radio, record player ( 45 rpm juke box centres ), red leather / bench seat. Auto box, vacuum windscreen washers, spats over the rear wheels. And gleaming black coachwork.

Oh, if I could own it today

funnily enough the owner has retired, from being the attorney general in Blair's Government, its Peter Goldsmiths car

  5. Your welcome mate..... Shame our meet was due to other peoples abuse of the car...... Another thread maybe :oneeyed01:

Yeah I know, other people and the bleedin' potholes you get everywhere, outrageous. Anyway, on a positive note, I took the Lexus out for a spin this morning and she handled like a dream, steering wheel dead centre and back to the sure footed handling I always loved about the IS300. Now the busted front wheel is taken car of I can get the other alloys refurbished and get the paintwork sorted and get the Lex looking like new again

I will catch up with you soon mate, hopefully at your new joint in Hemel??

    :thumbsup_anim: :king_right: :ph34r_anim:

  6. ALright Tony,

just a quick one to say thanks for fitting me in at STS today at short notice and sorting out Geometry, changing the wheel and new tyre and for the great deal I got! the car is now feeling like her old self again and is ready for a blast up to the Scottish Highlands

    :worried_anim:
