tony's magic

Recommended Posts

Quote from Tony "since you example is so fresh in your mind can you go into the 'Problems' area and explain how the car felt before and what made you seek a geometry?"

As tony asked above , i treated myself to a new Mazda MX5 MK3 LE and found after a few hundred miles it didn't feel as sure footed as the old MK2.5 MONTANA that i had before , to me it felt very twitchy under heavy breaking and at high speed it felt like a boat gently rocking/swaying on the sea !!! also the back end was very twitchy (maybe not a bad thing :D ) but would have been nice to feel when it was about to break loose!! it would just go with out any warning

So after talking to a friend (Jazzyp) i called Tony explained what was happening and booked the car in for the "Doc" to have a look at !!!

To keep things simple the back wheels wanted to go one way while the front the other way!!! tony reset all the settings to what they should have been when the car was built, and wow what a differance !!! it now goes where it is pointed and the back end only goes out when i say so !!

I dont pretend to understand everything about the set up tony was doing, but the way he explained things opened my eyes to what was going on and boy do Mazda wanna pull there socks up a bit!!

Just leaves me to say "tony your the man" and anyone who feels unsure about their cars handling the best thing you could do is give tony a call , i still find it a real eye opener on how a car can feel so much better after a few hours with tony
