  1. Similar to those , but ours are the bolted down type and are made of solid rubber whereas those in your photo look like painted concrete type.
  2. This type? If so, then you have to go really slow, less than 10mph over this type definitely. Surely they aren't putting these on roads though? I've only ever seen these in car parks. Not these ones, our ones are the large square ones, red and black in colour. Cheers Pete
  3. Car appears to knock and bang over these things, although these old type S Hondas are a bit like this over most uneven roads, just seems to be more exaggerated over the cushions.
  4. I'd guess these must about 5 inches or so at the peak point. Cheers Pete
  5. Awaiting response from them on that. Cheers Pete
  6. I'm usually at 5mph or less , should start stopping at them, getting out of the car and then pushing it over gently then back in the car for the next one, that would cause one hell of a tail back of traffic and p**s a lot of people off in the process, LOL!! Cheers Pete
  7. Indeed Rich me too and what have I got today, yes you guessed it 'A bad back' twisted it last night , typical!! Cheers Pete
  8. Thanks for your reply Tony, was afraid you might say that !LOL needed a bit of ammo' to get back at them really, I guess not then! Cheers Pete
  9. Guys , what's your views on these bolted down rubber speed cushions? I drive a Honda civic type-S and doesn't feel clever going over these damn things and I do drive over them very slowly almost at a stand still !!; near where I live they are trialling these and have expressed my concerns with damage to suspension and bushes etc. over a period of time by going over these every day, part of the councils response was : ' Whilst I note you have stated that the speed cushions are causing damage to your vehicle, research undertaken has shown that when approached at the correct speed there is no damage caused to vehicles that are maintained to the legal standard.' Let me know what you think guys. Cheers Pete
  10. LOL! nice one, just showed the missus, she wasn't amused, women!! no sense of humour!! Cheers Pete
  11. Glad you found the source of it mate and hope you manage to fit them and get no more noise Cheers Pete
  12. Might be worth having a closer look at the lower arms/ wishbone bushes and checking there's no perishing of the rubbers as it could be the metal inner bush moving due to weak rubbers causing the knock. BTW I seem to remember your name on the Omega owners club forum ? from when I had my 2001 Omega, good old cars those, only got rid due to running costs, but do miss it sometimes! Cheers Pete
  13. I'll remember that one for next time, LOL Cheers Peter
  14. Don't blame you mate, probably a lot less hassle too, BTW got the tyre repaired this morning thought it was nail turns out it was a bloody screw, perhaps I should have got a screw driver out and tightened it up ,save on the repair, LOL Cheers Pete
  15. Cheers for that Tony, it has indeed been a while mate, how you keeping? heard elsewhere (and posted a comment) about the MK branch, right shame that mate , will you be trying anything else or just stick with Chesham? Cheers Pete
  16. Thanks for your reply mate, I certainly hope so as the tyre is in good condition and still loads of tread, don't want to be forking out for a new one unnecessarily. Cheers Pete
  17. sorry to hear about that Tony, but to expect you to lower your standards well that just ain't on , sounds like someone was trying to cut corners somewhere, seems to be the way with far too many businesses these days, thing is word gets around too quickly and reputations diminished etc. so I think you did well to get out, still a shame though. Cheers Pete
  18. Got a nail in the nail today gone in between the treads, can't remember but this is repairable isn't it? Cheers Pete
  19. Once you get those signs up mate and people know who and where you are , I think will make all the difference, wish you all the best with it. Cheers Pete

  22. Guys what's your opinions on the Hunter DSP 600, normally use Wim For the Geo but had to get re-done at last minute (after fitting some new balljoints) near me in Slough, and they are using the Hunter DSP600 system, although in principle looks very similar to Wim's system , just wondering how good it is in comparison? needless to say the knowledge down there is not quite up to Wims, as e.g they set the front , then I said to the guy what about the rear, ' oh yeah he says and sees that was out of spec' so suggested he set that up along 0 thrust angle and then re-do the front !! just goes to show the knowledge out there in these fast fit centres is just not up to the job, I shouldn't have to be telling them how to set it up, the guy was a little embarassed and so he should be! just crazy isn't !! I don't know what a state to get into!! Cheers Pete
  23. Blimey Tony , this looks like big business mate and that site is bloody huge!! I wish you all the best with it and look forward to hearing more on how it's all going, good luck mate. cheers Pete
