When my wheels was 7x17 and tyres 214x45x17 , my wheels are now 8x17 , so what size tyres should i fit please ?
you need as much rubber as you can get with your monster
on an 8" you can go for 225 or 235 with a 40 profile
Thanks Bazza i have worn the rear tyres down , will get the 235x40x17

Monster Mat has these on the Drifty... Basically they extend the adjustable range on the lowered or track intended car...
In truth these are no benefit unless the car is distressed plus you would need a rear kit to balance the calibration.
Thanks Tony , very good information , i'm not gonna drift my baby , but i might boot her a few times round the bend
I don't know where your current Geometry rests but unless it's distressed save your money..... I need a HD tv if you have any pennies to spare .... I'll be your best mate
TDI have all my pennies

Loads of grease and a rubber boot , if you cant find a boot use some strong plastic and cable tie's .

An exhaustive search has located the missing bacon roll. It has a bite out of it though. Shall we send it back to you in the post?
Well thankyou for finding my bacon roll , if it's only had one bite out of it can you put it in the fridge for me and i will pick it up later

I hope Neil can make itI just spoke to Fever, he hopes to come along too -
I've seen a lot of bolts with there head sheared off
-
I would always use studs , you can strip a thread on nut or stud and change them , if you over tighten a bolt it will bugger the thread in the block and it will have to be heli-coilled , also the force of torsion will be different when torqued up beteen a bolt and a stud and nut .

Hi , just to let you know that the rear adjustable control arms are working at treat , when going at a very high speed on a sweeping curved road the car felt very "planted" and kept a much better line , when befor it wanted to push to the side and take me wide . It feels shure footed like its on rails , even at slow speeds i can feel the benefit , a very good improvement on the handling , a "must have" for anyone with a lowerd car . also i've found that it keeps a straighter line with less steering correction .

I was talking to sam today and i always learn something new or get a better understanding , i just wish i could remember everything he has told me , top bloke in my book , mind you there all top blokes at TDI and i never come away without learning something from anyone of them .

in the old days we used to hand scrap and that would leave a pattern . it wasnt cylinders , it was lathe beds and sliding keyways and the like , but still to aid sliding surfaces .

what sort of clutch should i fit to my lexus is200 which can cope with about 400bhp and give me a good feel and not to brutal so as not to spill my coffee when pulling away , but can also do plenty of fast starts , i dont mind changing clutches every year or so for a smooth operation ?

Two for me please

so your belt was breaking up too , 6 years or 100,000 miles for a belt , thats pushing it a bit for all the stress and conditions it has to put up with i think , we've both been lucky they did'nt break
-
On the IS if the max output is 400 bhp on STD internals then i'd assume the belt would be o.k up to that.
I'd like to know too if there are stronger belts out there, always wondered.
the max bhp on STD internals is approx 260 bhp befor it go's bang , the belt change at 6 years or 100,000 miles by lexus is a long time , my belt was 6 years old with 60,000 miles and was found to be delaminating ( falling apart ) , ive looked for stronger belts too , with no joy ,
What size now?
