  1. Looks like you're running lower pressures on the fronts, which is in line with the OEM recommendation. I'd suggest 2-4 psi increase in the front and 1-2 psi decrease in the rears.

I'm running on 38 psi all round at the moment, having started initially at 36 psi front and rear...but that's with 19x8.5 Front - 19x9.5 Rear, Front: 225/35/19 Rear: 275/30/19 (Toyo T1-R). My wear is pretty even across the width but if I was really picky I think I could increase the pressure in the rears 1-2 psi.

Thanks Tango, I'll try 37 all round to start with then. (+2 front, -1 rear)

  2. Just got mine back from its 20k Service.

    FR : 3.8 - 5.9 - 4.2

    FL : 4.2 - 6.0 - 4.0

    RL : 4.0 - 3.5 - 4.0

    RR : 5.0 - 4.3 - 5.0

Seems a big difference in the middle between front/rear. I do a lot of motorway driving.

    Does this indicate anything?

  3. What do you think rubber plants are fertilised with?

:thumbsup_anim: Oh dear..... thats bad even for a Thursday... :D

I've never thought about this before but really quite scary when you think about it. The heavier particles will wash into drains and runoff (or lighter when its raining) as Noel says.

On dry days it must get airbourne and into the atmosphere, people lungs and other areas. True rubber is inert so not an issue but tyres aren't made like this. Not sure what percentage is actually rubber or some hydrocarbon based allotrope. In commercial tyres and there are all sorts of heavy metals and other chemicals.

  4. HMS is 100% right Tony.

It is frustrating. Don't lose sight of the goal though. The hassles in between are just things that get in the way.

They shouldn't happen but they do because people aren't conscientious enough - its not important to them.

Look to the end. You will get there. Take every problem and deal with it, then think of your family and then again to the goal. Focus.

Air your grievances - you must or it will eat at you but then step away and look at the big picture again.

I don't mean to patronise you or sound condescending because I'm honestly not doing - you are doing what is human - things aren't going to plan because of others ineptness/negligence/lack of care and you are getting angry.

Its all normal mate - just try and think of the final outcome. Then think of the opening - we'll all be there mate. You'll see we've all been rooting for you through this!!

  5. Ok, everybody knows geometry isn't my thing but this one is easy.

I say he's a really big heavy guy and the car is buckling in the middle. More so at the front because of the weight of the engine.

    Damn I'm good.

Erm.... if you are reading this Charles, I'm only pulling your leg and no offence. Please feel free to come and poke me with a big stick. I know absolutely nothing about this sort of thing but wanted to add something to a geometry related thread.

    I'll get my coat....
