  1. i was waiting for the autosmart guy to fill the empty gazebo up, which i guessed wasn't his as it was there after he had left, i do think he was out the way a bit, and i am not sure everyone knew he was there, or like me thought he hadnt set up :(

Who's gazebo was that then? ;)

Yes he weren't in the middle with the rest, more to the edge. I thought most of the owners coming would have show cars, which they like to keep clean, hence me inviting him. The vans are kitted out inside, you go in them and it's all displayed on shelves and cupboards so he didn't need to set up a stall.

not sure, but it was a space or two next to him, seemed to have been empty all the day

i wish i had known it was in the van as i would have popped in

  2. Well was a good meet although the weather was crap, which I think stopped a few from coming as I was expecting more motors to be there. Rolling road was good though :(

No one went to the Autosmart van though apart from me, felt abit guilty asking him to give up a Sunday morning for nothing!

Just to add thanks to hms for the ride in the 5...wow what a motor, I can understand all the hype now. For such a light car I can't believe how well it sticks to the tarmac :)

weather turned out better than it could have been !

was a good day, nice to meet all the surpa owners and many others

  3. Tentatively i would say it's the new track layout at Silverstone, reason i say tentatively is i had several cars on track last weekend and my only real concern is results rather than where. Obviously the "where" comes into the calibration but that could have been weeks ago. I can find out what make of wheel but Team Green are at the wim meet Sunday so you can ask yourself.

look forward to meeting them

  4. Pretty ugly house imho, but can't argue with the price, size and location ;)

Yes it's not the best looking house but I could overlook that for what you've said. If I win the lotto it shall be mine!!

The first photo was taken from the pub garden to give you an idea of how close it is!

why didnt you mention its greatest asset

    gets my vote :o

  5. Open forum or not i can tell you now the chassis is not working as it should looking at the images..... There some real issues with the camber migration and the balance F/R traction limits... Look at it, it's horrible!

I think we have a Sunday set and test day coming up very soon.

set and test sounds good

    When is she available?

    next event is 6th june

    im away from 25th -2nd

    other than that "im free"

  7. Agreed 3rd place is pants...... Pull your socks up young man

Pic #3 looks horrible, the tyres contact patch and camber positions offer little traction...... Look at the inner tyre, that's a passenger, the outer tyre is fully loaded but "positive" in position and the OSR tyre is "rolling over".... In truth that's an awful balance and i'm embarrassed to be the calibrator.

look at the surface, its not flat so the chassis has to compensate for it somehow, its going to violate somewhere

socks being pulled up, i did feel very disappointed and felt i wasnt positive enough, any result was down to the car and not the driver ;)

  8. Well done, 3rd is a great start to the season, how was the handling?........ Looking at image #6 that rear paw is still lifting? . I think i have to move on from that now and concentrate on the front dynamic camber transitions because the chassis is so rigid and the rear paw's suspension is on full droop and out of stroke, nothing more can be done.

Looking at the pictures the camber migration is not giving the best footprint ( sigh ) so there's more work to be done.

    3rd isnt good enough !!!

handling was very good, Barkston is a very tight, undulating course and to be honest the car felt good,

grip was superb to the front, to the point it was allowing the rear to move in a controllable way

camber migration ? enlighten me to your thoughts
