TDi i have been asked if the "Dyno cam" will be on so that those who couldn't make the meet can still view the action?
Yes, it will be on
I just had another thought. I wonder if anyone would like to take adavantage of the good Dr Bones being present, to have any suspension work done at our place rather than going to Hemel?
now thats a thought !
poggy needs a check
and a dyno would be interesting
does it have to have a lexus badge ??
answers on a postcard
or to here will do
The day wasn't organised by us so we don't know really know's coming or at what times etc.
If there is enough time we should be able to dyno a poggy (whatever that is )
So far we have>
9 cars eagerly wanting to go on the Dyno
2 cars possible just for the meet
11 cars confirmed for the meet
Most are coming from the midlands and are expecting to arrive 10ish
Oh and the Pog
Excellent
I guess I'll find out what a Pog is later then

I'm probably boring (pun intended) everyone to death by now but I hope I have said enough to support my first comment and put off anyone who thinks he may improve his engine by putting some wet and dry down the bores.
On the contrary, I always take the time to double read your comments and I thank you for taking the time out to write such detailed replies. You're always very insightful.
Agreed. Sagitar is a very wise an valuable member of WIM

It's more a case of identifying which of the methods will work. The first thing to do is to identify which standard ECU you have.
I see! How easy is it to do this? Can I look under the bonnet or do you need to plug it into a computer?
Cheers...
We need to identify the make and number of the ECU (Bosch, Siemens etc etc)

How would I find out what method suits my car?

Hi Voicey,
Nice to hear from you
Turbo diesel engines can respond extemely well to tuning.
What we call the PSA Group (Peugeot/Citroen) have a large variety of ECU configurations fitted as standard, so therefore several aftermarket solutions are available depending on what you have as standard, so you may need an OBD2 reflash, A BDM reflash, a chip or a piggy back ecu.
We have been evaluating standard ECU tuning solutions for quite a while and have concluded that it's a very hit and miss affair for customers to choose from.
Most of the companies that offer this sort of thing tend to be orientated towards electronics with very little understanding of engine dynamics so they tend to take the path of least resistance and opt for simply raising the boost pressure, or raising the fuel pressure. This can be harmful and certainly is not what would be considered to be "tuning".
As I mentioned, we have been working on this for quite a while and I have seen turbo diesel cars make more power using the standard boost pressue but with proper tuning, than the same model of car that has been "chipped" with higher boost and/or fuel pressure.
We will be releasing a proper tuning solution for many standard ecu's in the very near future, hopefully before Christmas.
We'll make an announcement on our forum so please look out for that.
Thanks

If any one is interested, we have one remaining set of Eibach (TTE) anti roll bars for the is200 for sale.
I believe these are discontinued now so are probably quite rare.

An exhaustive search has located the missing bacon roll. It has a bite out of it though. Shall we send it back to you in the post?
