  1. Thanks Tony, am gonna check it out tomorrow.

    New car

Hey Tony I need to get a daily driver because, as much as I love my MX5, commuting 400 miles per week in it is hard work and am considering an Audi A4 3.0 TDI Quattro - it is a B7. Have you done geo one these before and can you improve the setup on it?
  3. Hey guys, am looking to mine the welth of knowledge held by WIM and the forum. I have found some wheels I would like to buy but the punter has 225/40 on the rear and 215/40 on the fronts. They are 17"x7 on Avon Z33. Is this going to cause issues?
  4. Yes, not good, I'd rather not sacrifice the handling of the car. On another note I live in Warwick and coming down during the week is not possible as I am self employed- if I don't work I don't get paid... So I popped into my local STS Tyre Pro shop which you have listed as Blackboots Centre. They had never heard of you and said they just punch the car details into their computer which will give them the manufacturer settings. This did not fill me with confidence that the job would get done properly. I also want to get the Eibach spring lowering kit fitted and the anti roll links changed for yours as I have already snapped one and Mazda would not replace under warranty...
  5. Good work I have found someone that will swap the Scooby alloys for my choice of Mazda Oem alloys - can get the MX5 17" or even the Mazda 3 MP3 18".
  6. Thanks Tony. i guess I have a set of wheels for sale. I wantto get the car lowered and aligned but also want some 17" wheels. Should I have it all done at once ie will it need to be set up again for the 17" wheels if I have the lowering kit and alignment first?
  7. Thanks Tony. I have just weighed them and they are 10kgs a piece. I tried one on the car and the spigot hole on the wheel is slightly small so I would need to get them reamed. Is it worth the effort or should I punt them on? The last thing I want to do is compromise the handling of the car. Bearing in mind I also want to have it lowered.
  8. I went and pushed buttons on ebay without thinking too much about it... I have won a set of Subaru STI wheels -BBS GD7- but am not sure what they are going to do to the handling of my 07 MX5. They are 17" 8J ET53 http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?VISuperSize&item=221097334279 Oh and hi, my name is Drew. I amnew around here. I am a lifelong biker, with a Tuono in the garage. As I neede a car for work, I got the most impractical one possible.
