Hi Guys,
Tony set the car up for me about 6 months ago and got it nearly perfect, the only issue was a siezed caster bolt that honda promised they fixed!
Anyway, the car hasn't been touched since then and I'm about to polybush everything which is going to totally screw the geo. I don't want to drive the 120 miles to WIM after doing this so have found a local place in Christchurch with a Hunter.
I have the original printout from WIM which they are happy to use but I want to make some changes as i've recently put some Yoko AD08's all round and it's changed the behavour of the car. The back seems fine but I might go with 0.10' toe each side rather than 0.06 as there is a little more oversteer now and the toe arms will be polybushed so should have a little less flex but the biggest issue is up front. The steering is now really really heavy. I know this will be down to better tyres, softer compound, sidewalls etc but I'll be sticking to AD08's from now on so need to get a setup for the front that works.
Current front settings:
0.50' Camber
6.50' Caster
0.00 toe
Can anyone give me any pointers? I know the caster settings will alter the steering weight and self center, but which way do I need to go? Also, there is so much grip up front now that i'm wondering whether to go back to stock camber to save wear on the insides. I believe the stock fron camber on MY06 cars is 0.30'.
Any help would be much appreciated.
Thanks
Chris
