  1. Cheers Tony! once again thank you for your valuable input!!
  2. Cheers, as i've done 500 miles I shall be going for my 2nd check up! shall ensure correct tyre pressure and allow half a tank of fuel
  3. Hey Tony! I know prior to getting the alignment done it is important to ensure correct tyre pressure, what is the position in relation to the fuel tank load? should there be minimum fuel load, half or full tank of fuel? prior to getting the alignment carried out My focus tank capacity is 55 litres It was a thought that crossed my mind, would be interested to know your thoughts cheers
  4. I'll try not to be! i'm sure i'll be lurking around viewing the vasts amounts of info available on this forum!
  5. Great Guys! once again I appreciate the assistance & guidance from this forum! Top people! with very knowledgeable info & advice!
  6. Good morning Tony! Osf tyre was removed to the rear pass side, no more pulling! Whoo hoo! really chuffed that we managed to resolve it! Couldnt have done it without the advice on this great forum! Do you think i should i go back to the garage and get them to tweak the front alignment further? I'm quite fussy and would like it bang on the factory settings, is it worth it? Would it make any further improvement than how it is at the moment? Cheers
  7. I hope so, Great! many thanks! I shall report back....
  8. Cheers Tony! I shall remove the osf tyre to the rear today, I guess once this is done do you think this should 100% rectify the problem?
  9. I think that's what they wanted to happen ................. You've lost me , please could you explain further...
  10. Well guys I swapped the 2 front tyres over side by side and low and behold the vehicle now pulls to the right! I have had one new tyre fitted to the rear and was thinking of swapping it over with the right front to see if this would cure the pull, haven't done so yet
  11. Cheers chaps! will swap the front tyres side by side and report back...
  12. It's not to do with how they've worn, have a read of this thread - http://www.wheels-inmotion.co.uk/forum/index.php?showtopic=165 Interesting read! i shall swap the tyres side to side and report back! What do you think about my theory? may it work?
  13. The tyres are equally worn would this still cause this? You've hit the nail on the head Tony it is exactly what I am experiencing I am having to hold the steering slightly down to the right to prevent the vehicle wandering to the left I have a theory and was thinking if this would work? to adjust the front right to negative toe or to a lower positive toe value and leave the right as it or or adjust it to +0.7mm or lower and hopefully this will compensate and rectify the problem some what... what do you think?
  14. Hey Tony i decided to get the alignment checked again today, here are the results! let me know your thoughts! Rear was adjusting again and only the front right hand side Although on the weekend they adjusted both front track rod ends, they only adjusted the right hand side this time advising the left hand front track rod bolt they could not loosen as the spanner kept slipping the steering was dead straight prior to the adjustments being carried out although there is an improvement i feel it is still not 100% right as the vehicle still wanders to the left
  15. Hey Tony i decided to get the alignment checked again today, here are the results! let me know your thoughts!
  16. Will do! i will get them to try & achieve +0.7mm left & +0.7mm right as per the spec data and the rear +1.3mm left & +1.3mm right i shall go back next Saturday and upload the new printout...
  17. 30mm ford approved eibach lowering springs only all round
  18. As i have the st170 alloys on a 1.6 focus with 30mm eibach lowering springs the geometry settings they used were for a standard spec focus, should i get them to use the st170 geo settings even though it is not a st170 chassis? or get them to stick with the standard focus geo settings?
  19. Cheers Tony appreciate the advice, i shall get them to match the figures on last years print out!
  20. i'm confused, default settings are they under data? LH +0.7mm & +0.7mm? neither have a negative though? rear is the same but +1.3mm.. below is last years print out and the alignment was acceptable enough with the settings outlined below, how do they compare? would you be happy with the figures below?
  21. Phew! i'm i correct in saying to get the technician to re-adjust the front toe close to 0.7mm+ either side as possible which i guess is the "best setting"? 0.1mm or 0.2mm extra or less either side will that make a big difference? and the same for the rear but 1.3mm+? either side i was under the assumption as it is in the green zone all was well? i guess i maybe wrong
  22. It was the technician that set the steering although i must say i didnt check whether it was in it its central position In basic terms Tony please would you mind explaining the figures to me & what they need adjusting to so when i pop over next weekend I can tell them what to adjust it to... what figures are really bad? & what are acceptable? cheers
  23. Morning Tony! yep that is correct, i'm having to correct the steering
