  1. I could sit and listen to him for hours especially when he did his programme on the "industrial revolution" and explained how everything worked in great detail and when he visited sites that were derelict with some machinery left after the scavengers had been in and tore everything out you could see the passion in his eyes when speaking about it and the love he had for everything mechanical.

  2. He's in Burgess Hill, but thanks Adam.  :)

He's going to phone them on Monday and hopefully get a new one sent down about £100 so not too bad.

He phones RAC last night said he needed towing home, van turned up and he said ooh it needs towing!....no s**t Sherlock!!!............. a tow truck will take 3 hrs to get here :o now I thought all the vans were equipped with a dolly.

  3. My son in law bought a Fiesta ST on a 55 plate and the damper has snapped off from the top mount and collapsed (it's on coilovers I think) I'm trying to get the make of them but he thinks they are German.

He lives in Sussex, a bit away from me but we are going to have a look when I get the time! will I need a ball joint breaker,(I aint got one)

or is the leg attached to the control arm with bolts, makes my life easier!!!

    1) What are his options: try and find a replacement same make/model from Germany

    2) Change them for new coilovers probably expensive for him

    3) Revert to std shocks all round

    cheers guys

  4. It does make you laugh, some people have no clue at all. Some estate agents actually employ a photographer or train the stuff so they can take better looking photos. You would also not believe how many camera phone photos we get as well, which are no good for newspaper printing!

A bit like trying to decipher what people mean when they write stuff........I take it you mean Staff! :D

  5. Yeah but a bit more personal......Mr Lambourghini having success selling tractors bought himself a Ferrari and after driving it for a while found improvements Enzo could  do to the car to make it better and told him so, Enzo told him "what do you know about making cars" so Mr Lambourghini went away designed and built the Muira. The rest is history but until recently all the world leading motoring journalists voted the Muira as being the most beautifully designed vehicle beating the Merc gullwing only to be eclipsed by the McLaren F1 as an everyday driveable supercar.
