Speed tape! Rated for hundreds of mph, freezing temperatures, etc. Perfectly safe!
Likely they've put some sealant around the cowling, and its going to take longer to sure than the time the aircraft is on the ground, so tape it over to protect it.

All that power through those spindly little driveshafts?

Someone skipped leg day?

It could just be the oil is still very thick when it's cold, and that is causing the delay?
-
A similar video that always impressed me - a comparison of the speeds ...

I run mine until it is dry - turn on for 3 seconds, turn off for a few until water stops running out, run again for 2 or 3, and off again and that should be the majority of it out.
Your loft may get cold, but it'll still (hopefully!!) be warmer than the shed. Mine has survived a few years of this and then being put in the shed for the winter.

Its about right IMHO. The barrier comes down, you should be stopped before hitting it.
Why would you give people a larger window to drive around the barriers?

Is there a slot for you to step in/out of, or do you have to have someone help you in and out, or clipping it on? How would you intereact with anything/anyone? Can't pick anything up, probably be difficult opening doors, and when you do get inside, its huge still, even collapsed. Gonna be water everywhere!

Usually done by very talented people, using something like Photoshop.
All you really have to do is "guess" what the colours would have been - which is reasonably easy from descriptions of things from the time, and bob's your uncle.
Here's one a friend of mine had done a while ago. Photo is WW1 era, 1916-ish if I remember the story correctly.

Maybe not the best, but this was done by people in their spare time, who "volunteer" their services - many of them just to "practice" what they're doing.

Wonder how many roofs of cars have touched that ceiling. Certainly wouldn't be able to get many cars high enough to stand under them on that lift!

The bad photoshop job. Look at the guys waist.
Not sure how they managed that though!

I didn't get an email this year telling me my insurance was due to expire .... Good job I checked as I've 11 days left!
Edit: On hold. PLEASE get some more hold music? I'm slowly going insane with this song again and again and again and again and again.
Later edit .. (Don'y worry, not still on hold) - Unfortunately you were beaten on price this year. Maybe next year!

It'll work time and time again! The banana is reusable!

Imagine going to Dr with a large blister and being told that you could either have it drained, but that it might come back, or they could put you to sleep because it might come back.
If she is in no obvious pain, and its not majorly affecting her quality of life, I'd get it drained. Take her to a "specialist" vet - a dedicated veterinary surgery. They might be able to prescribe something that can slow down how long it takes to come back, or advise on ways of managing the problem.

Looks like a view from a first floor flat or top deck of a bus, looks too high to be from inside a car - looking at the Audi on the left.

Phew, they were what I was going to be putting on the car next!! (225/45/17 fortunately!!)

One of these days I'll get over there! Its definitely on my to-do list! I've done some photography at RIAT before now, and that was damned hard! Jets 700ft away, under full afterburner ... !
What length lens were you using?
Lovely photos!

Lowering, and de-cat-ing at the same time!

I'm not sure how that could be "repaired" - there's going to be so much damage to the chassis (its one of those all in one carbon fibre ones, right?) thats its pretty much going to have to be rebuilt ... it'll be like Triggers Broom!

Those damn trees, always popping up unexpectedly.

Thanks Tony!

Morning all.
Had my Geo done the other month at WIM but I've noticed I've got a lot of wear on the shoulders of my front tyres. I'm just about to rotate them F/R, but its worrying comparing the F and R shoulders how differently they have worn. Tyres are the same F/R, same mileage on them, and I don't exactly drive it "hard" through corners. (It is a Volvo after all!)
Pressures are fine, and Geo was only done 2/3 months ago.
Any thoughts on what it might be?

Being empty, with minimal fuel, in probably perfect conditions ... and undoubtably accelerating to a much higher speed than actually required for takeoff probably all help! Impressive though!
