  1. Ok - thanks Tony, I value your advice hence me asking here
  2. I recently bought a Nissan 200sx (S13) and by the previous owners admission, it needs some different tyres. The wheels fitted are 17x9J, I think they're ET30 but it's running 30mm spacers to clear the coilovers. The front tyres are 205/40R17 and they're way too small - here's a photo: The rear has 225/45R17 which are much better: The arches have been rolled and pulled front and back and it has adjustable topmounts on the front but I assume that the reason the PO put such stretched tyres on the front was to get the tread inside the front arch. I'm not sure what size to go for on the front to fill the arch out a bit more; I don't mind having a bit of stretch on them but they are clearly way too small at the moment. I was thinking maybe a 215/45 - is this going to make much difference or am I going to have to go to 225/45? (Which might involve wide arches...) (Yes I know there are chunks out of the sidewall on the rear, at least I know what size to buy for those )
  3. That was my thought too, except that there doesn't seem to be a 245 made in 15 inch... Therefore I guess my only option is to stretch a 225 or 215 on?
  4. 225/45 and 215/45 are very close according the the calculator. The question is what size is going to fit without handling-destroying stretch? According to Toyos site ( http://www.toyo.co.uk/productdetail.php?id...p;product_id=2) none of the T1Rs in those sizes are 'permitted' on a 9J rim.
  5. I've just got some 15 x 9J ET0 wheels for my MX5 and I'm struggling to find a decent tyre to fit them. I originally looked at 205/50 but I think they're going to be too stretched for my liking. I've seen another car with the same wheels running 225/45 and they seem fine, but I can't find any tyres in that size except for R888s which are way out of my price range. Any recommendations on a reasonably priced tyre in a similar size? Thanks in advance
