Many thanks for the offer Tony but I'm back home 200+ miles away now. I've had a quick look and there is no sign of either damper leaking, in your experience is there any other symptom of those dampers when they 'go'? I'll take it for a night time hoon to see how it goes with cooler temps, any excuse! Steve

Hi WiM I've now passed the 1000 mile mark with my newly fitted Eibach's on my Mk3, I was the guy who left the car with you for several nights! Initially I was delighted with the improvement, firmer suspension without crashiness and a chassis which finally felt sporty, I've re-explored all my favourite B-roads with a great big smile on my face! However, over the last weekend the car has started to feel rather strange, especially the rear end. Going over mild bumps in the road has produced a noticeable bounce, very much like there is no rebound control on the shocks, even my friend being taken for a drive on the car for the first time with new springs commented on the effect. Can the recent high(er) temps cause this problem? I know on mountain bike forks at high temps rebound performance drops off, is this the same on cars? At 24000 miles and 4 years are my shocks likely to need replacing? Very interested to hear your thoughts Steve

Hello I've very recently bought myself a '57 plate MX5 Sport with the intention of having the suspension 'sorted' as soon as possible. As I see it my options are to go for the Eibach springs, WIM springs or simply have the GEO sorted correctly. What are the main differences between Eibach & WIM? As the car will cover 50+ miles a day over the finest B-roads the Lincolnshire Wolds have to offer I need a setup which will deliver both a satisfying drive and a 'mature' feel. By mature I mean not shake my bones to bits! thanks Steve
