Morning guys, I hope you are all well.
I've been a bit quiet on the forum lately due to very sadly and unexpectedly loosing my father 4 months ago. Its been a real shock on the whole family and is still very raw. He is missed very much by us all.
So on this Monday morning, here are a few random pictures to kick start a new week off....
First off a Lotus Esprit turbo in for a Stage 1 paint enhancement
A Protection detail on this F Type V8 R
A Swissvax Protection detail on this Ferrari 458 Spider
Protection Detail on this Ferrari California

I loved that car Tony. I know you did to

Unfortunately due to a serious illness within Michael Breen's family (CEO of P1 International) we are re-scheduling the P1 Supercar Sunday to the 7th September.
Apologies for any inconvenience, and will hope to see anyone wishing to attend on the new date.

Parthiban, i do have a pretty good smart repairer guy that comes in and does small touch up jobs on the supercars. Have always been happy with his work. It just depends how big the job is and therefore whether it was better for it to go to a bodyshop instead? We use Unit 24 in Camberley as our preferred bodyshop.

I know exactly what you mean. it can be very easy to just get into a detail and suddenly realise a lot of hours have gone by!

Therapeutic?!
Why do i seem to go home shattered most days then

Cheers guys. I am also a fully trained painter as i did this a lot when i was based at my previous site. The company there restored 80's 911's which i helped a lot with. But unfortunately there are no facilities to paint at my new location.

Once all machining was complete and IPA'd, i applied Lime Prime Lite by hand, giving the next step of wax application a perfect base to bond to. For wax i chose to apply Victoria Concourse
Any exterior rubbers and plastics were treated
The interior was hoovered, dusted, glass cleaned inside and out. All leather cleaned with APC and then conditioned with Gliptone
The tyres were dressed with Endurance gel and alloys sealed with Collinite. Exhausts polished. These were the final pictures

Lovely The effects of bad wash routines, car washes and some panels being previously machined (badly) after paintwork. Next step was to take paint thickness readings
For machining i used the Makita rotary, Meguiars polishing pad with #80 and #83 polishes mixed together. The defects really were quite bad, especially with being on quite a tough paint, but it made a noticeable improvement

Hi,
Here we have an Audi RS4 belonging to a friend of Amir. Fantastic cars these, but unfortunately the paintwork was a little tired. Ideally a stage 2 treatment would have been required, but we went with a stage 1 plus leather condition.
This was the car on arrival...
So, starting with all boot/fuel/door shuts being cleaned with APC. The wheels were cleaned with Bilberry, tyres with APC. The car was then washed with Meguiars Shampoo Plus, clayed and then
washed again.
It was then taken inside to be dried and inspected under halogen and LED lighting

458 and 12C are definetly my favoutites, but then again you cant compare them price wise against the rest. Mind you after taking the Murci out earlier this morning, sun shining, i came back with such a huge grin Traffic literally stops where ever it goes, people swarmed it at the petrol station. The car must have had about 30 pictures/videos taken in 15 mins
Will definetly let you know thoughts on the Aventador, hopefully be around April/May

Difficult question really, depends on the weather and what mood your in. I really enjoy the Maserati GranTurismo MCShift, one of the best sounding cars on the fleet in Sports mode, the way it handles the road though can feel a bit lacking at times. The F Type is great fun, also sounds really good, bit twitchy though. The 430's are getting on a bit now and obviously technology has changed so much with the newer ferrari's, but is still very enjoyable and a rewarding car to drive. The Murcielago is just a beast, i'm not even that tall at 5' 11 but i feel you need to be shorter to comfortably drive it. You really have to grab hold of it, its not a relaxing drive The Aston's are nice, always had a soft spot for the V8 Vantage but have been surprised just how nice the Rapide is also. The SLS is just a growler, loads of torque and sounds great too. The 458 and McLaren are just something else, one day i prefer one, the next another. The Ferrari perhaps feels a little more special, especially inside, but both of them stop traffic, literally, mainly with people jumping infront of you to take pictures lol There are a few others ive missed, but am looking forward to a new 458 Spider which will shortly be arriving and also the Aventador
-
Yes thats correct Scorps.
Anyway, must dash, theres a gleaming Murcielago waiting for a fuel run
-
There are some celebs yes Rich
The website is quite out of date and is currently having a complete redesign. The cars and membership packages are also different to whats on the site. Wont be long for the new site to be live...
-
Hi Rich, its a private members car club. Various packages available at different prices, the higher the package the more points you have to convert into driving time. Cars are put into different groups depending on their value when new. Summer and Winter seasons are based on different points, as are weekdays and w'ends
The benefits are that members get to drive a wide range of vehicles that get regularly refreshed, dont have to worry about insurance and servicing costs, let alone depreciation.

Someone has to do it

Thanks for your comments guys. A couple in the background are awaiting details, but most of them belong to P1.
I share the facility with P1. As well as running Invisible Touch, i am also the Operations Manager for P1 for some days during the week. I maintain everything to do with their fleet of cars, i also deliver them to club members and collect them
