Hi all,especially tony,we spoke recently regarding geo on my is 200 and it is in lexus tomorrow for cambelt,waterpump and 60,000 mile service. Since having my mot and two lower balljoints changed the car has a very slight knock over low speed bumps from drivers side front area(wheel),at the MOT the guy said my front right shocker might need changing as it was just misting. As the knock became annoying i took it back to the garage that fitted the balljoints and they had a discussion about grease ! which i didnt understand fully ! Should the guy who fitted balljoints of greased them first as i dont think he did ? Would this lack of grease cause a knock ? They told me it was probably the shock at fault ! If i come to wim and have my geo done without having new shocks fitted would the geo get upset when shocks do get fitted at a later date ? i only ask as i would quite like to get the geo done asap If its best to get the shocks done first can i get a set fitted at wim and if so how much parts and labour and also could i source my own KYB standard shocks and bring them with me for fitting as they are £120 inc p&p at the mo and i believe they are oem quality-i am not into uprating the car just want it as standard but as near perfect as possible ? Sorry so many questions-moneys tight at the moment and although i want the geo done asap i dont want to have to repeat the process twice unnessacarily as i live a long way away and whilst the drive home im confident would be an eyeopener ,the drive there may not be so pleasant as the car feels orrible on motorways- All advice appreciated-tony if you read this and i havent rung you i will do as soon as i get the final bill from lexus and know what money-if any-i have left to spend,,,,,Many thanks
