Any pre-loaded or twisted bushes can be dealt with when the geo gets sorted! As far as the blue dampers go it's a mystery to me! But again that can all be looked at when its up on the rig!

It sounded fantastic, and there seemed to be a noticable increase in power off the mark! After the coils, geometry and tyre change, this would have to be my next recommendation for any 5!

If you're looking to save money, Pagid cover the majority of the porsche range. Good quality at a reasonable price. We fit them wherever the customer is on a budget or for whatever reason just doesn't want original equipment.

Yeah that'd work, as long as the strain is off both wheels. If the ball joint in the link starts spinning they can be a bit of a nightmare though! If they want to they can be very stubborn, so if you don't fancy doing them on the drive give me a shout and we can get it on the ramp at one of the centres

Removing one at a time can be tricky on some cars, because one side is under load and the other isn't. So jacking both sides of the car up at once is always the best bet

Any steering vibration and the first port of call is to check the wheel balancing, so I'd get that checked first. Failing that, if the vibration is magnified when adjusting the steering wheel, it may be that the lower arm compliance bush is starting to give up, but that should have been visible when checking over the suspension.

That's in Thailand. Songkran is the Thai new year, the whole place turns into a giant water party, everyones got supersoakers and buckets full of talc powder! Fella should've known better

I was doing almost 150mph on Saturday through standing water, in the rain , good test for the Eagle F1's in have fitted
They were excellent, struggled a little with flooring it at 30mph but coped fantastic when braking
Now that's what i call faith in your tyres!

Stock size 195/55/16 and if I stick with the 205/40/17 that are on the wheels the speedo will read about 4mph under. If I get 215/45/17 the speedo will read slightly over (0.4mph) but I could get 205/45/17 to make it read slightly under, although this is a weird size and prices tend to be high.
Can't find those Neuton NT5000's anywhere.
We can source the Neuton NT5000 ER, thats the directional pattern, they also do an assimetrical pattern, the NT8000. When you decide on the size chuck me a PM and I'll get you some prices together

The ZE912 is a great tyre, we sell tons and never hear a bad thing said about them. Excellent value for money!

I thought Bridgestone and Michelin now approve their run-flats being repaired as long as they haven't been driven beyond the recommended distance or over the recommended speed (think it's 100 miles and 50mph).
I think finding someone to do it though might be difficult - surely the onboard computers should now have something to log the distance/speed travelled once the tyre pressure warning is activated to make this repair process more scientific?
In case you are thinking of sticking with RFTs, my brother swapped the Bridgestone ones on his Z4 for Michelin PS2s and it has completely transformed the car, now far more comfortable, tramlining is practically gone and the handling is much improved.
For me personally I'm not comfortable driving a car on normal tyres with no spare - I find it bad enough in the Merc which has a spacesaver meaning there's nowhere to put the massive standard wheel if you need to change it.......
Bridgestone are quite vague on the whole subject, but all the other manufacturers take a strog stance on it. Either way, like you said, until Tyre Pressure Monitoring systems advance, it's impossible to tell how long the tyre has been run, and to big a risk to take a customers word on. So replacement is the only option.

Thanks Joe,
I've read nothing but bad reviews on RFT's and handling and coming from my old car, they are very skittish, give a hard ride and tramline all over the road so happy to get rid depending on price.
Can you PM me a couple of prices please and availability for a GEO as well as the fitting?
Tyres are 205/45/17 84v I believe. There's a BMW approved non RFT on a Conti Sport Contact 3 as above and could i have a price for another option such as the Falken FK452 and Toyo T1R.
Also a price for a replacement Dunlop RFT.
Cheers
PM sent!

We don't repair runflats, very few garages do. Because of the reinforced sidewall its impossible to tell what kind of internal damage has been done while its been under-inflated. I think there's a horror of the week thread relating to when they get repaired and go wrong!!
We've been taking the RFT's off of BMW's etc. for a while now. Only ever had positive feedback about it.
As well as the four new tyres, the geometry needs to be tweaked to take away as much rear camber as possible, to cope with the new flexability in the tyres sidewalls

That's more like it with your car crash history Pedro!

Yeah, we got in touch with Audi themselves as well as three different M.O.T testers (just to be sure)
It's an intentional and perfectly legal change.

Vredestein, Hankook and Nokian seem to get the most positive response. That being said, even a budget winter tyre would work better in the snow than a summer one would.
Would like to post a price list up, but the price and availability is changing on a daily basis at the moment, so a definitive list is not an option!
A phone call to the centre or a PM and we can give current prices and availability

Not illegal, Audi release them like that to cure VAG's legendary understeer problems. From an MOT point of view as long as the tyre size is the same across the axle, they can be smaller on the rear. Technically you could have porsche GT3 wheels on the front and mini wheels on the rear if you decided to!
-
ER I just checked and 195/60/15 winter tyres are widely available at the moment. As it stands the choices are Michellin, bridgestone, dunlop and a few budget winters. Ring the centre for some prices if you like!

We've just had a SW20 in for a suspension, wheel and tyre upgrade. We've fitted the BC coil overs and spent alot of time with the car testing different damper settings, tyre combinations/sizes and geometry settings (the customer was willing to leave it with us until we were 100% happy with it). Me and Pete have spent a fair amount of time brainstorming with it and we're very happy with the outcome now. The BC coil overs are a little more expensive, but with them we've achieved a very good, and actually quite comfortable, fast road set up for it!
