I'm tempted to get it sorted & then bill the Ins. co. for the geometry & tyre. Would you be able to sort out the geometry Tony & how soon would you be able to? Thanks

    Advice needed

Hello all hope its in the right place I had to claim on my insurance through their approved repairers because the claim was taking so long 10 weeks. There was a small dent on the subframe which was replaced & since I skidded there is a flat spot on the n/s front tyre which I am trying to get the insurance to replace. Anyway my argument with the ins. co will be that since I've had a new subframe it should be a matter of course to have the geometry re-aligned no matter what ? (Impact was N/S/F damage to bumper, N/S/R tyre hit bank no sign of any damage) This is a letter I rec'd from the repairers to help with my claim.? "Your insurers have asked us to report on the suspension & wheels. We have reported back to them that the front suspension geometry is out on both toe & camber settings, the O/S/F being the worse. The discrepancy should be adjustable but all of the adjusting controls are heavily corroded which will probably require replacement. We could find no signs of damage. The rear geometry toe setting is out on the N/S/R again, this should be easily adjusted but the adjusters are heavily corroded. The tyre on the O/S/F has a flat spot. This is usually due to a heavy skid. The other tyres are within tolerance. We have reported this back to your insurers who have instructed us not to carry out any further work as they do not consider this part of the claim." Now to me you could use the same scenario that if your bumper is damaged & the bolts are corroded & would need replacing then don’t bother !!!! I am willing to pay for replacement parts but not the cost of the geometry check & similarly part cost of a tyre. So I thought I'd come to the experts & ask for your opinion. Tony how soon could you do the above You've got to ask the question what’s the point in having insurance ????? Sorry to have gone on a bit. Thanks
