In a straight line, at normal speeds, when I drive over wet manhole covers/ripple bumps, as one of the rear wheels passes over the area of reduced grip the car shimmies at the rear and thrusts slightly to the side of least grip. I had this on an A4 a few years ago, the problem went away when I reduced rear toe. Could the issue be the same.... Too much rear toe.....or is this typical of a 4WD (albeit part time)?
