  1. Had a great time, nice to meet with you guys, shame about the weather - would just like to point out that it's sunny up north! Thanks and best wishes from Nigel & the team @ Nigel Lang's Garage!

Top effort to bring the team down south Nigel, i hope they enjoyed the "whole" package despite the low turnout.

Was a good weekend, good to meet up at last. Pity the turnout was lower than expected, but what was there was very impressive.

One gripe though....no barmaid and martini girls, would have been ideal weather for them

  2. i seriously hope these pictures are a hoax ;) :o

utter disrespect for safety and whoever used that cable to hold things together

Also i bet his tracking was spot on and there was no 'weird' pulling sensations as he drove down the road.

what car is this also ?

No, I wish it was a hoax.

The car was booked in the day before, when I assume he had wired it together. When he arrived, he commented that it had just "gone again", by which I think he meant that the wire had snapped.

    The car was an Astra

  3. Not long! It used to destroy heads whenever he drag raced it, they would crack across the middle plug hole.

It was a bored and stroked 2.8 cologne engine, taken out to 4.1 in the end. About 675bhp in a 4 wheel drive cortina mk2. Escort cosworth turbos and Jag supercharger. He use dto have spare heads, diffs and box with him when he raced! Bit of a monster.

  4. A mate of mine is track daying an E36 325i, it is fitted with adjustable spring platform, non adjustable dampers. He has been experimenting with rideheight adjustments to alter camber. What variance in tyre temperature across the tread ould be deemed acceptable?

  5. Hi there

Is your Civic a hatchback, same shape as a type R?

If so then I think the data is incorrect as the 06 sedan has different geometry.

If you check the data on the printout (ie the limits and ideal, in small print at the top of the coloured boxes) they are different than the info you have provided from the Civic website.

What tyres are fitted as some are prone to a wheelbearing type drone, also what mileage has the car done, as some clunks could be down to general wear and tear. The change in dirrection of the pull/drift suggests a tyre problem.

Although I think the front camber is supposed to be non adjustable, there is usually some movement if the front strut is attatched to the hub by two bolts. By loosening the n/s bolts, with the weight of the car on its wheels, this may increase camber. Repeating the proceedure on the offside, but with the cat jacked up should reduce the negative camber slightly. Overall this should reduce the imbalance between n/s/f and o/s/f. Other measurements look ok to me.

Hope some of this helps but I suspect Tony may have a more authoritative reply soon :D
