  1. Thanks for the replies PM Sent Tony. What are BC coilovers like? Never heard of them until last week... Also - to answer the question then, I guess coilvers are better value for money? What about the servicing on them?
  2. hi, Thanks... Just googled it and it seems the RB320 and all prodrive upgraded STI's are supplied with this fitment (blistein/eibachs) Lowers the car by 20mm also. Seems like a good combo from the reviews combined with the following geo settings: Camber: Front Rear Max equal negative not adjustable Toe-in 1mm 1mm Definately worth looking into. Can WIM supply/fit the kit above?
  3. Problem is the standard STI shocks are made by KYB which you can get as OEM replacements, however I dont want anythign to knock again in 6 months as I beleive the KYB's will! Guess I am used to the ride now, dont think I would want it much harder than it is - you know what the lanes are like :s
  4. Hi, My shocks are knocking on my STI and they have already been replaced under warranty 3 times previous over the past 18 months(Weak point on the car). Now, I am not going back to pay this time to have the same shocks replaced again and this time being charged as the car is now out of warranty. So - time to upgrade. I have been reading up about all the various kits/fitments/packages but what i want is something that is: 1. Still comfortable as a daily drive 2. Lowers the car slightly 3. No noise or knocking! I have seen various coilover packages but advised they need to be serviced, maintained, and possibly too bumpy for our lovely roads I have seen shock and spring packages but for the cost the coilovers seem better value as the shocks/springs work out more. What is the difference between a shock/spring combo and a coilover? What would you suggest as a daily driver? Brands such as Tein and BC come to mind for the coilovers and kyb/tein/eibach for the shock/spring combo. Any help or suggestions feel free to comment! (P.S) I had eibachs and apex shocks on my old MX5 and that handled a treat Cheers
  5. They were pretty loud when started. Defo full decats
  6. Hi tony... Car is spot on now. No vibration and confidence back on sweeping bends. Seems our roads have caused a flat spot on a wheel too which your guys sorted with the balancing popping the wheels back round. Many thanks Cheers
  7. :lmaosmiley: Will do Out of curiosity - have you any experience of Performance Friction brakes? Had a set of pads fitted all round and I have to say compared to the brembo's they are amazing! No fade, judder, or noise.
  8. Balance yes Geo no.... that's booked until the 7th March. Ok - Ill pop up at lunch time and get the balancing checked. Ill get it booked in for a geo while i am at it too.
  9. Hey Rich I had the car serviced about 4 weeks ago. The chaps moved the fronts to the rear (had rears fitted at WIM 3 weeks prior to that). They said due to the weight on the front the new tyres needed to go on the fronts and put the old on the rears again. The rears (now on the front) were balanced at WIM, the fronts (now on the rear) at Kwik fit. Could be balancing I guess... !! Or our stupid roads with their craters have knocked something out...! :lmaosmiley: Any time to have a look tomorrow Tony? Got a day off
  10. Hi, Since having the rear wheels moved to the front of my car during its service (to even out tyre wear) The car's steering feels light and at about 80 theres a slight vibration/feels lighter. Would balancing cause this feeling or could it be the spigot rings in the wheel with the problems? Didnt notice an issue with the wheels on the rear previously when the tyres were fitted. 2002 STI Scoob
  11. Depends on the diameter.... I have some in stock so we should be safe. Great stuff. See you Tuesday! I forgot to ask..... Is the calibration for the track or domestic tyre preservation? It would be domestic, however I am looking at taking a few track days after august. Is there a good combination of both?

  13. You won't be disappointed mate I'll be in bed though so won't be able to pop down. What's up with your brakes? Weird vibration when slowing down from 60 and its completely sporadic. Doesnt do it all the time...if it was a warped disc it would be apparent constantly. Seems to only do it when the steering is to the left a bit. Braking still works good but when pushed hard the front left always fights the ABS. Manufacturer said to check how the pads were installed as they should be able to move in the caliper and also that they are free from any debris... could be something stuck.
  14. Booked in for Tuesday AM Getting the brakes looked at as well. If it needs the camber adjusters will you have these in stock?
  15. Well the STI Impreza has some pretty impressive suspension from stock so to improve on this i would need an image of the chassis then some consultation with the owner how to advance it. Hi Guys, Its a daily driver for work and back plus a bit of fun at the weekends. The car has a tendancy for the back to kick out under pressure. Whats involved in an "image"? Cheers Just measuring the chassis..... The car already has adjustable rear toe but you may need to have camber adjusters fitted. Great ok. What sort of time/price would it be for a diagnosis? Whats your calendar like for bookings? Cheers

  17. Hi Guys, Looking to sort out the handling on a 2002 STI Impreza (bug eye). Currently in standard form apart from 18" PFF7 replicas with Falken 452's. Not looking to change the springs or shocks as the car generally handles well enough but I could do with a bit more grip and confidence pushing it into the bends. Any suggestions, Struts, ARBS? Cheers
