Your right, i never do, but i did not want to go and spend £700 on new tyres to find it was the wheels that were a problem.

Tony, thanks for your advice and info today, the wheels are coming off on the weekend, I am then going to source a complete new set of tyres. Thanks again

Thanks Tony for the reply, dont know how true this is but when i got the wheels (Second hand) they were terrible (wobble/vibration) I had them balanced and the issue was more or less resolved, the tyres were buget tyres by the previous owner. When the wheels were checked out it was found that 2 of them were slightly out of true, the guy spent a lot of time sorting them for me (I took the to a chap in Melton Mowbray) he also refitted the tyres, he said that one of the tyres could not be seated correctly on the rim due to them being badly fitted by the previous person? and he also said that it had a flat spot. Since he did the job they have been great but at about 65 - 70 the wobble/vibration comes back, i have fitted the wheel on the rear, it is strange because the wobble/vibration is not always apparent, it sems to be ok when the tyres are cold, its only when they warm up that i get the problem on the one wheel.

Hiya Just joined the forum, got the details from the omega owners forum, Question:- I have been told that i have a flat spot on one of my tyres, i have had them balanced and set up, the vibration has all but gone, i was told this could be due to the flat spot, will the flat spot ware out or is it a new tyre job, the tyres still have a few thousand mile left so i think i will put up with it. The size is 235x40x18. Thanks Pete (Miggy)
