  1. Hi Tony, Long time no speak mate! I hope you're well! I have got a slight issue with my car where its pulling to the left. I have done the usual or checking tyre pressures, tyres are in great nick and only about 1 year old, but it still pulls. Noticed it a lot this weekend on my way to Leeds on the M1 and if i let go of the steering wheel the car will start drifting left. I remember the last time you checked my car it was spot on and there want much to adjust on it. Any ideas?

    Lexus Alignment

Hi Recently my LS600 started pulling to the left, not a violent pull but enough to overcome the lane keeping assist. All four tyres were only a month old so I suspected the alignment had been knocked out from multiple pot hole hit on our wonderful roads. An alignment check showed that both front wheel castor and toe were out of spec and were adjusted, all angles are now in spec but not at the ideal settings and the car still pulls slightly to the left. When I spoke to the garage they said that it was the best they could do and any further adjustment would most likely require changing parts on the front suspension. Don't know that much about wheel alignment and less about the suspension setup on the LS600 as I cant find a manual online to check their statement. Does anyone have experience of 600's pulling to the left or it's alignment setup? Would the alignment figures below cause the car to still pull to the left or should they be OK as they are all in the green? Although the before and after castor angle for the front left has the same before and after value but one is red and one is green which is a bit odd. Failing that can anyone recommend a good alignment centre in the Edinburgh area? I have attached the alignment printout below. All help and advice greatly appreciated.
  3. Hi, all! I sent a question in to the WIM team as well, but seeing as I haven't gotten an answer yet, and I feel in dire need for help, I made a forum account as well I live in Norway and have a Lexus IS200 SportCross from 2003 which has the following settings as of November 2015 (when it had a slight crash (not involving other than front crash absorber) and geometry was checked/adjusted just to be safe): Front: Caster Left: 5°54' Caster Right: 6°06' Camber Left: -0°30' Camber Right: -0°42' Toe Left: 0°06' Toe Right: 0°00' Toe total: 0°06' Rear: Camber Left: -0°48' Camber Right: -1°06' Toe Left: 0°00' Toe Right: -0°09' Thrust angle: 0°05' Secondary angles: SAI Left: 9°15' SAI Right: 9°36' "Combination angle": Left: 8°45' Right: 8°54' "Displacement" Front: -0 mm Rear: 1 mm "Track width difference": 19 mm "Wheel base difference": -1 mm Ride height: FL/FR/RL/RR: 66 mm My main problem with the car is that it eats on the inside of both my front and rear tyres as well as that it shakes quite a bit (steeringwheel and what feels like the rear) between 80 and 120 km/h. Front and rear brake calipers are new as of 2014 and 2015 respectively. Same with discs and pads. Wheels were balanced today, when new rubber was put on my summer wheels. I just bought new summer tyres today and I'm hoping someone here can help me avoid more unpleasantness in the future. The car rolls on 215/45/R17 in the summer (Nokian Hakka Blue) and 205/55/R16 in the winter (Nokian Hakkapeliitta 8).
  4. Hi, I'm picking up my 59 plate mx5 on Friday and am very excited. I've been reading lots of comments about the ride height of the UK spec mk3 being higher than Mazda intended, is this the case for the post 2009 car too? Thanks, Tom
  5. Hello, new to the forum! I received my new FR Edition Ibiza on 3-4 weeks ago and I noticed that the steering leans to the left ever so slightly - probably about 5 to 10 degrees. I checked the tyres and they were all even. I booked the dealership 2 weeks ago to check the alignment and they admitted the alignment was off. So upon picking up the car, they said they rectified the issue and gave me a before and current measurement print out of my car's alignment - found on this link: http://imgur.com/bTd6wli As you can see, both casters and the right rear camber is still in the red. However, after driving it down the road, the steering wheel alignment was still off. I have raised this issue with SEAT and they have said that the car was done to the manufacturers specification and thus they don't see why it is still misaligned. The case has since been raised with SEAT UK. Could an admin please advise what to do? My gut feeling is to bring it down to you guys and get it all rectified as I feel the car is not as safe as it should when the steering is misaligned. I read a thread that Tony is around Milton Keynes? I was wondering if I could get it looked at and rectified on Saturday? Thanks and Regards, Arthur.
  6. Hi All I have had my 2007 MX5 NC for a number of months now after purchasing it in November. It came with all 4 budget tyres which did not suit the car at all. Currently I have BF Goodrich Gforce profilers on the rear and Kuhmo Ecstas on the front on 16" rims. Despite spending out on tyres that I knew had a good reputation I was stil underwhelmed with the way the car handled, especially at low speed. I then took a visit to WIM for a Geometry setup in December before a winter trip to Germany as the car was very skittish on the motorway. This undoubtedly help as the car felt much smoother and safer afterwards However recently the cars handling is still not great and does not feel sporty like Id imagine it should. The front feels very light and floaty, especially at low speeds and does not feel as if there is much weight to the steering - feeling flat and lifeless. It also skips over slight imperfections in the road and tramlines under braking- all in all it doesnt inspire much confidence when driving. For some reason the TC cuts in almost all the time too. At higher speeds things seem better but still not perfect and does not feel planted to the road. My old Focus felt more stable! I heard lowering onto the Eibach springs may help some of these issues, or does it sound as if there are bigger issues at play here? Any help would be greatly appreciated as I am really dissapointed in the car so far.
