So, by carrying a lot of weight in the back of, say my Hilux Surf, it dramatically alters the DI and therefore the handling somewhat.
I find all this DI and geometry fascinating. Before joining this forum, a vehicle to me was a piece of metal resting on four bits of rubber.

Got a M&S winter car kit from my daughter, and a set of brake pads for the Surf, and I had to pay for them.

Some of the stuff that Tony has been posting - Over/understeer, scrub deserves to be put into a knowledgebase - how about creating one?

Gee, thanks Tony, all these snippets of info will make me look at tyre fitters in a new light, and to make sure that they do their job correctly.
I gave my car 4 new Pilots for Christmas, and find them quieter than the Bridgestones, with no less grip

Before I joined these forums and Logged onto Tony's Posts, I knew absolutely nothing about car geometry.
I thought if the car was wobbling, for want of a better word, it was due to tracking and/or wheel balance. My eyes are now open wide, and trying to ingest all this information.
Thanks Tony

To be truthful I don't know which tyre is best, when I bought the Lex it had Bridgestone potenzas on. Which I found O.K.. Now I have Michelin pilots, which I find are quieter, but as for wear, I have only had them on 4 months about 2 to 3k miles
Tyre distortion.. A very dangerous condition
