  1. Ah right, I will measure the trim height. Just to clarify, this is measured from centre of road wheel to wheel arch? If there is a difference , would it defo suggest the spring or possibly a weak shocker to some degree and how much difference would be too much as it were, do you think. Cheers Pete P.S sorry for all the boring questions!!
  2. Glad you understood what I meant, when I read it back I wasn't so sure!! Didn't realise your software only asks to check rear as I seem to remember you measuring all four corners anyway, but having said that it kind of makes sense I guess to measure at the rear, as, if that is correct and similar figure left and right then surely that would suggest car is level and not down on one front corner. Cheers Pete
  3. Thanks Tony, I was thinking about the trim height earlier, then remembered that you always take this measurement before setting up the geometry and each time has been ok , the problem has pretty much been there since owning the car, only other thing I can think of is, that the steering is very light on these cars and with the extra weight in the passenger side and camber of road could be causing the difference and as the steering wheel is already very slightly to the right particularly on a cambered road , I'm probably having to compensate for this with the steering and more noticeable as the steering is light and sensitive, does that sound feasible (or even make sense!!)or could I be talking out of my arse!! Just trying to look at it logically. Cheers Pete
  4. Noticed something annoying with my vectra C (amongst other things!!)that whenever my missus is in the passenger seat the steering wheel seems slightly more off center than normal, now before the comments start coming, no she's not a whale!! only 9 stone in weight , christ if she knew she'd kill me for even mentioning this!! was set up correctly by W.I.M in as far as the alignment is concerned and using 70kg of weight on each seat etc, could it be related to a saggy spring? incidently the car doesn't pull to the left with me only or with both of us in it, strange! and all the rest of susupension components seem tight. Cheers Pete
  5. This is the problem these days with electronics in vehicles , most things have to be reset etc by reprogramming the ECU's, in Vx's case Tech2 what ever happened to the good old days of getting out your timing gun, gas analyser and tweeking timing and carbs etc LOL, used to enjoy doing all that and still have the old kit!! maybe I should buy an old banger and get rid of this barge lol!! Cheers Pete
  6. More out of curiosity really Tony, I believe that if front wheels were out of alignment by +/- 5 Degrees (unlikely I know) then it would necessitate resetting , I did however on my Vectra have to re-align the Cim (column Integrated module) only to centralise, as with the steering wheel in the central position the column coweling was angled down to the right (as in photo) and can only be adjusted by rotating the cim, annoyingly!! Yes I know, I'm a fussy bugger!! and now begin to wonder if it should be re-calibrated, however the indicators seem to cancel at roughly the same angle upon return to straight ahead position so I'm guessing all is probably ok with it. Anyway just to say, the car still feels ok with negligable wear on the tyres since you and your guys set it up for me, just wish this country would get it's damn roads sorted ,with all these pot holes etc. Grrr!! Cheers Pete
  7. Just a quick question regarding the SAS (Steering angle sensor) ; if alignment is done , should the sensor then be re-calibrated for zero angle . Cheers Pete
  8. Thanks mate, they OEM locks so 110Nm it is then, maybe I ought to buy some Tri-Locks anyway as throwing them at the Mother-in-law, sounds a great idea!! mind you bricks might be cheaper!! Cheers Pete
  9. Tony, Any ideas on the torque settings for the locking wheel nuts on a 2003 vectra?, I know the others are at 110Nm, but have to say, I don't like the idea of torquing the locking ones up to that setting, somethings gonna shear I just know it!! Cheers Pete
  10. Ok thanks Tony, thanks for the reply mate and look forward to seeing you in the near future. Cheers pete
  11. Hi Tony, May be contacting you sometime for geometry check/ adjustment on my newly aquired vectra 'C. I remember when you were sorting my Green Omega (the one you thought was a nice colour!! don't know if you remember or not) the price was £99 and free final tunes after that, does all this still stand? By the way glad to see you finally got your own place how is it, great I'll bet!! Cheers Pete
  12. Tony, Cheers for that , gives me a bit more confidence in the car now unlike the Omega!! although having said that it was a nice car in other respects. Cheers Pete
  13. That's good to know mate Cheers Pete
  14. Tony, Hi mate, If you remember I had the green metallic Omega on which you've been sorting out the geometry, unfortuneatly had to get rid of car and have now bought a 1.6 2005 Ford Focus, are there any strange issues with these as there was with the Fluid suspension on the Omega? Cheers Pete
