Probably quicker than mine

I still keep an eye on things
Ironically my finger has just gone down, it got infected from losing skin when working in an engine bay!

I wasn't a huge fan of the FK452 on my 350z. Great at first but as they wear the grip starts to go. I'm not the only person that's noticed it either.
The Sport Contact 3 is still one of the best tyres on the market if this years group tests are anything to go by, placing 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 4th in 4 tests: http://www.tyrereviews.co.uk/Tyre/Continen...t-Contact-3.htm

On the plus side it's a lotus and not a KA...
I hope it's there Saturday, I want a poke about!
-
Is it a Ford KA? Their brakes aren't servo assisted so feel a little crap!
-
I know braking distance increases when you don't have much tread left but do new tyres do the same until they've scrubbed in?
The missus thinks her brakes are too soft/not stopping quick enough. I've been out in the car tonight and it does take a while from speed to slow the car down. But I'm use to ABS so I'm not too sure meself
Can you lock the wheel / get ABS to kick in? If not, then it's not your tyres it's your brakes. If the tyre is locking too early, or the ABS is cutting in then the tyres are still bedding in.
That said, 100 miles should be enough to scrub a new tyre in...

Could you ask them to review their existing bullet proof tyres...
-
That is awesome
-
Even if you measured in seconds it would only last for seconds with the way the roads are at the moment!
-
How adjustable are they?

Lucky git
I expect a full review in a few weeks!
-
I think that's a safe bet
I look forward to your thoughts, I'd imagine they'll be positive!

Well you've done as much groundwork as you can by asking the owners club. From my understanding of the 3 the goodyears will probably be the most comfortable, the Michelins wear the best and the Vredestein give the most direct feel.

I'm not sure you can go wrong with any of the tyres mentioned. They're all top spec premium rubber.

Usual address Tony

Dangerous for cars, even worse for bikers. Even a small pot hole in the wrong place can throw you off the bike
-
Wow! You had many tyres blown out / damaged or more wheels? If there's some of the former i could give you a quick writeup...
-
Cruise in style though

Front engined girls...

Perhaps the insurance companies will start to offer lower premiums if we fit winter tyres?

I logged on especally to see how you're getting on with the beast
The MR2 was due in for some repairs this morning. I tried... It's now stuck half way up the hill I live on. Like yours, it was ungritted!

Given that the (eunos) MX-5 is limited to 180kph, and I have no intention of removing that limit, I often wonder if running all year round on the winters would be better than keeping two sets of wheels. I've driven in Germany in winter and most locals there say the only limitation on winter tyres is not to exceed 210kph.
Given the amount of rain in this country, I reckon it could be very few occasions that a true summer tyre is needed?
Winter tyres don't fare so well when it gets warm, so winter all year round isn't the best option.
Maybe M&S (multi service) tyres are the way to go then?Do you mean AS (all season?) Nokian do quite a good range of all season (or four season i think they call them) tyres.

The evolution of my track MR2

Essex - or do I That was my first MR2. My second one (this one) was written off a while back I'll answer more questions soon when I can.
B4G - I ended up running BCRacing inverted coilovers. They offered the best body control I'd found on an SW20, but highlighted the chassis could have probably done with a cage for stiffness. They weren't soft! I actually still have them, I keep meaning to sell them if you want them. Only done a few hundred miles and have been back to BC for a checkup!
