  1. My fave black chick is now in the hands of Prolex for some serious treatment.

Without giving too much away :D

    There will be....

    A radical engine rebuild...based upon a 2JZ-GTE

    Some serious engine bling

    A seriously big supercharger

    Awesome brakes

    ATVB upgrade

    New dials / internal stuff

The rest of the stuff is like "let me shag your daughter" (the pretty one) please

    :D :D :D :D :D :D

All this equals = the most gay IS in the World

Hows developments going Mike... i am looking forward to the big set-up once Betty is fully dressed.

Work has commenced - a bit of internal bling and some big stopping iron so far!

  2. This GB has been a bit of a PITA...because it wasn't until I'd fitted these to a member's IS that the dask warning light flagged. I'd had these on my Tubby, but of course the primitive Tub doesn't have dash warning lights....

A lot of it is all done on trust.......

The guys place their orders, I order from my supplier, as soon as the kit arrives I PM people to pay me and send the kit out. Been a couple of misplaced orders, which I replace as soon as I can. This is all a very small sideline to my main job, but I enjoy being able to keep members up to date in the latest LED technology and update the "Lexus Lights" with "Lexus+ Lights" supplied by Mr Morse!

  3. Here's another vid clip...taken in the dark.

BTW the lights pulse simultaneously, it's the low video quality that makes the randon pulsing.

The bulbs are EU legal, in fact Mercedes are fitting these to many of their high-end models.

LED PULSE LIGHTS IN THE DARK

I wonder again Mike... Fuse and wiring conductivity....Is there a need to up-grade?

The bulbs still take 12v, but draw a much lower current than conventional bulbs - it may therefore be necessary to fit load resistors to prevent dashboard warning lights being thrown. No need to change fuses either.

The Lexus IS requires load resistors, the MR2 doesn't.

  5. Never thought of that!... I have to ask 'doesn't' all this bother you!.... your job puts you in harms way everyday.. recently you commented of a friend who was shot and killed, how do you remain calm when at any moment violence beckons...

The general idea is not to place yourself in a risky situation in the first place and if things do start to go boobies up, act in a way which will not further increase the risk to yourself.

Example.......I frequently get stopped at military or police roadblocks where the men have obviously been drinking / chewing kat / smoking weed and are out to collect "tips". Rather than have an AK pointed up my nose and dash them $10, I keep a stock of cheapo bic biros in the glovebox and I'll give out a couple of these (in West Africa, the number of biros in one's shirt pocket tends to indicate one's importance), and it works every time! :D

In general, the West African bad guys want to take your money, not to physically harm you. West Africans have a great sense of humour and it's fairly easy to throw in a few jokes which turn a dodgy situation into one where the risk is greatly reduced. It always makes me laugh when I see a Johnny-Just-Come expat trying to shout and scream his way out of trouble.....it just doesn't work!

  6. There are three types of dynomometer:

    1) Those which measure the power/torque at the flywheel. These are generally limited to the motor manufacturers who will test an engine "on the bench".

    2) Hub dynos, which fit directly onto the hub

    3) Rolling road, where the wheels turn a set of rollers.

Out of these, the rolling road will give the truest indication of the power & torque as it would be if the car was on the road itself. Therefore values for the actual engine output can only be estimated from the transmission power/torque losses which vary from vehicle to vehicle and manual or auto transmission.
