Looks like in the video it has a manual steering rack built in and uses an electric clutch to disconnect the manual bit while driving 'fly-by wire'.
Wonder if they will feed anything back to the driver or simply leave a dead wheel.

Think they budget was $60k for a full working shop, we have most of the tools, just need the building and ramp really, at the moment the tools are in many buildings, including the cnc lath in the garage =( With the poor crop yeild this year the project is on hold. Normally they would get 20 wagonloads of corn off the field they just finished, they managed 2 wagons this year...
I know how you feel about a house and drive, it's a bit cramped in the UK and land prices are expensive. Part of me says that it's not important, and being with friends/family is. But at the same time I feel that I shouldn't have to compromise on having 'my stuff' like a decent house/land to live in. Bit torn really, I think there are valid arguments to go both ways.

It's the knobheads on the road you have watch out for, the amount of times I was passed in a no passing zone, AND on corners was crazy. I had tanker/hazmat when I drove semi back stateside. The acceleration was very slow and you had to be smooth with your inputs or you could start sloshing everything around. The tanks have baffles in them, but when you get that much fluid moving around....
If you stop fast you can push yourself into an intersection if you are not careful and control the weight. Granted I wasn't moving fuel around, just ammonia and other ag chemicals but it is risky when you don't get the respect from other drivers. I can understand a little on why the fuel drivers were striking for pay and working conditions, brave indeed to deal with the motorists on the road.

I have a chain to loosen them if needed, most of the time they undo by hand. Don't think I've got any choice but get messy....it's at times like this I could do with 2 poster ramp and a garage!
Haha I know the feeling, shame neither of us has £15k to build a little garage and a used 2 post. My family stateside is considering building a shop on the farm with one of these in... but that's a bit far away....

Think that's about all you can do. Some filters have a place to put a wrench on, these help a bit so you can keep your hands away from the filter a bit. You could get a filter wrench too, that might help a little. But TBH a rag should do the trick I would have thought =)

Can you not get remanufactured calipers over here for your car?
I can get them from the dealer, but other than that no. Last I checked they wanted £400 for a set of rear callipers... I will probably end up getting refurbs from the USA for the rear depending on shipping costs, but for the fronts it's a cheaper to rebuild the aftermarket Wilwoods than to buy a replacement calliper. I can get rebuild kits for the Wilwood from here, no need to go Stateside for them. Just let them know which calliper I have and they will send me new seals and pistons.
Thanks for the tip Tony. I cleaned them the best I could without popping them all the way out, they have been on the car now for 5+ years. I really don't want to rip a seal until I have the pennies to rebuild them properly. I think it's going to be a spring/summer job when I put new pads in again.

Could always throw them in the oven =) Hammerite takes ages to cure I guess.

Did you pump the pistons out and clean/ lubricate the crome a few times?
I cleaned them off the best I could without popping them out, afraid of popping them out and tearing a seal, don't have any spares around. =(

Well the fogs and headlights are in, winter tyres on, and new brake pads are in. The pistons pushed back harder than I like, and one side showed signs of slight sticking. Probably going to buy a rebuild for the front and rears for the next time I change the pads out. The rears showed signs of slight sticking earlier this year as well as water ect being bled out when I bled them, will see how they fare over the winter.

It's fake the car roof crushes but those arms are only hollow ally and not heavy enough to do that and most importantly the windows dont break
