Confused by this one
If I got it right for the IS200? If the camber on the O/S front (right side) is reduced then the caster will increase and the toe will go negative. Correct the toe and all is good.
The N/S front has the opposite! Not enough camber or caster, so increase the camber and the caster will reduce not the way it should be going.
Is something bent on that side?
Cheers for any comments.

Hi Tony, like you say long time mate. Been soooo busy over the last few months that I don't really get a chance to get on the forums.
Had a look on tyrereviews.co.uk before I posted but only 2 reviews on there for the N6000, neither that good so thought there maybe some peeps on here or LOC that had tried them.

Hi All
Bit cheeky as I have not been on here for ages, well not really on any forums to be honest. Been really up to my eyes in it generally. Ayway to get to the point.
Had Goodyear Eagle F1 GSD3s for ages on the Tezza and liked them, after recommendations on here switched to the Nexen N3000s, same tread pattern etc as the F1s etc and got on well with them.
Now the N3000s are no longer available and I don't really want to lash out on premium tyres. I can get a great deal on the N6000 and wondered if anyone has them fitted and what they think of them.
Need to get 2 tyres, rears as usual, and wanted to book in for Saturday so any opinions would be much appreciated.
TIA
Neil

since your car was a research car from day one i have to thank you!
Been a pleasure mate believe me, I have learned so much about geo. I have been educated by, and meet, a true gentleman as well.
But yes it was kind of "uncanny" your car won a lucky dipCan you do the loto as well

Big thanks to to Tony and the team, well fed and watered too. and a few pics from me as well.
PS Tony, "how lucky is that", one day you will get some money out of me

Where do you live?
-
Crap, that's about all I can say really.
-
THE important things are:-
1/ Your family
2/ You
3/ WIM
4/ The forum
In that order.
I reverse order
1/ The forum will be here
2/ WIM will suceed because you will have more work than you can handle through the clubs
3/ That will make you feel good (and tired)
4/ Your family will have a great dad who is happy at work and able to provide
Where do TDi come then?

I HAD a project Tezza that was lowered 50mm and on this car we exhausted the natural adjusters.... We decided to monitor the rate of tyre wear...... I can comfortably say the rate was more than acceptable
That mean you don't love me no more Tony

Interesting indeed Tony, bit more on the camber and a bit lower I think

Be gentle with me since i confess to being a complete engine numpty but what's an "FC?"
Apexi Power FC.
Its a complete standalone ECU replacement. Fantastic piece of kit, one of the must have mods for Altezza owners IMO
So i assume we are talking some form of mapping?....... I do struggle with this though... Is it the case the designers under-power the cars ECU then someone like Apexi offer a unlimited ECU?
No Tony, the car is supercharged, the stock ECU is not "mapped" for boost, sure the TDi will be along soon to explain it all.
p.s. Nice one Am must make it all worth the work mate.

Blimey WIM goes global
Forget the company car Tony tis a small jet you will need

I would always use studs , you can strip a thread on nut or stud and change them , if you over tighten a bolt it will bugger the thread in the block and it will have to be heli-coilled.
Very true about changing a stud if you strip the thread but a bolt is no different unless the bolt "bottoms out" in the hole in that case you will strip the thread in the head.
also the force of torsion will be different when torqued up beteen a bolt and a stud and nut .Sorry but I don't follow the logic on that one.
-
Yup.
Never use a bolt in a "blind" hole, reason is the bolt could "bottom" in the hole and the required torque (force) won't be applied to the part being held down.
A stud on the other hand may "bottom" in the hole but the nut will keep turning till the required torque is reached, easy really

Thank you Mark and Tony, tis what I feared bushes shot. Really don't need this at the mo, took a week off to fit a new bathroom and 2 days have gone getting mine through the MOT.
Question is does it need immediate attention?
Assuming the car is safe and predictable then the repair can wait..... Would the use of a ramp and some torque loading at the diff help you identify the area in need... I am available if you are in the vasinity
Thanks Tony, I am up to my proverbials at the moment in plumbing and we got no bath so hence the question. Will give you a shout ASAP.

Noticed a bit of clutch slip on the wife's IS200, slips about 500rpm and then bites again.
Anyway whilst testing this out I thought it was pulling left when I lifted off the throttle, so got a straight bit of road with a slight hill and tried again. What is actually happening is the car pulls to the right under acceleration and straightens up again when you lift off. The pull I thought was to the left must have been me correcting what was actually going on.
It is not major but I assume that it is either the thrust angle not being straight or something "on the move". Anyone had this before and any pointers to have a look at.
TIA

No thread lock as a castellated nut and split pin are provided, at least you know it won't fall off with a splt pin
p.s. put the kettle on mate be round soon.

Yup no knocks, but have known the owners of the place for years and I trust them. They could not do the job till next Wednesday and suggested that I do the job myself and they will fit me in Sat for a re-test so they are not after money!
If you can get the settings I would be eternally grateful Tony
Will do!
Top man as usual, off on "holiday" next week (otherwise known as fitting a new bathroom), once I am sorted I will give you a call and drop round for a coffee, chat and geo check in the order.
