Magnetic Sump Plugs from Gold Plug - The last drain plug you'll ever need!
Another American company, Gold Plug was started in 2001, simply because they were fed up of not being able to find a good quality magnetic drain plug for their street bike engine that they had just finished rebuilding. After searching high and low, Gold Plug was born. Now, their daily mission is to supply the very best magnetic drain plugs to keep your vehicle running in the best possible condition. Why choose a magnetic oil plug over a standard sump plug you ask? Well, there's quite a few reasons actually.
Every time you run your engine, there will be a build-up of contamination in the form of thousands and thousands of very small particles of ferrous metal. The main cause for these microscopic particles is friction, and you can imagine how much of this is generated when driving hard. To put things in perspective, an engine travelling at just 2000rpm sends the pistons up and down the bore 33 times per second. Imagine what a day on track is doing to your engine!
The oil filter does its part in keeping these filtered, however, they can only filter out particles larger than 35 microns. These nanoparticles of metal suspended in the oil are considerably smaller than this, and to top it all off, the smaller the particle, the more damage they can do - This is because they travel pretty much anywhere in your engine when under hydraulic pressure. The only way to "trap" these particles is with very strong magnetism.

We expect the majority of you have heard of Millers Nanodrive Oils by now - They were a real game changer when they were first introduced to the world of motorsports, providing a dedicated range of oils that were designed to increase power by reducing friction, all thanks to their nifty "Nanodrive Additive Package"
Well, the tech guys at Millers Oils have done it again. They're improved on what was considered the peak of performance oils by ushering in a new and improved range for their motorsport category, and Opie Oils are pleased to announce that they are on the shelf and ready to go - just in time for the race season!

Millers have significantly improved the capabilities of the already established CSS and CFS oils by incorporating a high performance, triple ester formulation, and then adding a measured amount of their unique NANODRIVE additive package. It's the addition of this little beauty that can effortlessly deliver up to 15% lower levels of friction than their predecessors.
The entire CFS range is all fully synthetic and has benefitted massively by this addition of the NANODRIVE additive package, offering a further 26% reduction in friction than their predecessors. Simply put, you can expect significantly improved levels of performance on track and road, delivering great value and performance levels in an affordable package - these are designed to increase the performance of an engine in respect of improved HP and increased torque.

Hi all, just a quick heads up from Opies here.
Sunday 2nd October marks the last race meeting of 2016 at Knockhill. As sad as it may be that the season is coming to a close, the final round of the Scottish Championship Car Racing Series is always a great event and goes out with a bang. Titles will be decided and awards will be won. It promises to be another fantastic installment of Car Racing at Knockhill, and Opie Oils have got a pair of tickets up for grabs!
These tickets will provide you and a guest with entry to the event itself and hospitality with the legendary David Sleigh Racing Team. You will meet the team and hang out with them for the day, lunch will be provided within their race awning. It's a great opportunity to meet the professionals and see how they work. Not to mention being track side all day while the drivers pass at speeds in excess of 120mph.
Sound like fun? Well, if you fancy being in with a chance to win these tickets, it's a pretty straight forward process - all you have to do is drop us a PM titled "Final Knockhill". ACF-50 Anti-Corrosion Formula
ACF-50, Anti-Corrosion Formula, is a state of the art, anti-corrosion/lubricant compound, that has been specifically designed for the Aero Space Industry. It can be described as an ultra thin fluid film compound which must be applied on an annual basis. ACF-50 actively penetrates through the corrosion deposits to the base of the cell where it emulsifies and encapsulates the electrolyte, lifting it away from the metal surface.
