Hornet at Santa Pod

Recommended Posts

Finn & I took the hornet to Santa Pod this weekend for RWYB @ Japshow weekend.

After the recent rolling road at WIMS we refitted the cambelt which was out by a tooth, so was interested to see how the car ran.

One of Finn's best run against one of the other guys who was running a MK1 1.8 is below :

Finn Munkey

+1.1585	Reaction +.8425
2.6400 60ft 2.7189
7.2902 330ft 7.4280
10.4692 ET @ 594ft 10.6947
11.1868 1/8 ET 11.4179
62.70 1.8MPH 62.22
14.5366 1000' ET 14.7812
73.36 1000' MPH 72.04
17.3551 1/4 ET 17.5825
79.26 1/4 MPH 80.80

But she also managed to do a 17.2323 1/4ET

I was enjoying myself so much in my MK2.5 Arizona, that I never got to try the Hornet myself.

However, I did manage a 14.19 1/4ET with 97.77 1/4 MPH

Reaction times are only that, time from the go to breaking the beam to start the run. Reaction time is not included in the run time.

Some people stage well back from the beam by the maximum amount, so they are already rolling when they break the beam, which may make for a faster time!
