I thought he said 'IF I knew the road better I would drive differently', presumably quicker. The passenger or the driver remarked just before the first wet bend 'I can see water', and on the flooded section there appeared to be plenty of warning that the road was flooded before they actually got to the area where the water was running off the montainside. His failing was a lack of experience, and a total lack of anticipation in the possibility of aquaplaning. If you live through your mistakes you learn from them, so thanks to the VW crumple zone and seatbelts I guess he'll be more carefull in similar situations in the future. :angry: Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
