Rich
Very! Some of the prices aren't though!
adam_r
Very! Some of the prices aren't though! a lot of people on the S2000 forum are now buying honda parts from the states. the costs of parts over there is a 1/3 and then once you have shipped & paid import tax etc it still comes to roughly 2/3 the price of the uk part ..... and to top it off a lot of owners are finding it faster to get their hands on the parts too! Rich
Where are they buying them from? The S2000 parts are probably alot more expensive than the Civic though?
adam_r
here you go: http://www.s2ki.com/s2000/topic/851186-que...n-for-honda-uk/
adam_r
as an example : honda US price for an Accord (TSX) rear door = $480.91 (each) honda uk price for an accord boot lid = 417.28 (each) current exchange rate = 1.00 USD = 0.621631 GBP so 298.946 GBP for a door. shipping & tax wont be £
Rich
New lower control arm on Honda Orignal parts is £205. On Honda Parts Now it is $135, which is £83-ish!! They do say they don't ship internationally though.
Rich
Just looked on the CFL site that those S2000 members use and a pair of control arms are $255, which is £158. So add shipping and custom charges you're probably looking at up to £250, which is still £150 cheaper than over here! A caliper seal kit is £9 compared to £43 over here. So even with shipping it's half the price! I might have to try them, have you used them before?
adam_r
Funnily enough, i onyl stumbled over that thread the other day. i for one will be using them when it comes to buying the more 'expensive' bits when my car needs it! i honestly dont see how HUK justify their prices
Rich
Unclefester certainly thinks HUK are taking the !!
CIH
American parts prices are absurdly cheap but the shipping can wipe out alot of the savings. I buy lots of stuff over there.
Rich
Even with shipping and customs you're still saving alot. Who do you buy from them Pete?

minkymulbs
Just to make clear that link is to Lings which are a dealer and renound for very high prices. Nine times out of ten you will be able to get a far better deal from your local dealer IME. Great site for info purposes but wouldnt not recommend buying from lings.
