Tony
Seven months late due to the complexity we are finally live. So what's new about this online sales pitch? Tyre sales 1: The tyre prices compete with current sites aggressively and since we are starting small we should have the final edge. 2: Tyres is our business unlike other merchant's that do nothing other than blindly transport goods. 3: Our satellite centres comply with our "SOP" Standard Operational Procedure in relation to fitting, documentation, and quality control. Geometry sales 1: This was really difficult, as you know wim's minimum requirements are above most centres abilities so we filtered 100's of centres and company's from the invitation list, STS Tyre Pros proved the only current company willing to invest in equipment and training that would satisfy our ethos. 2: The initial roll out is 20 or so centres, all of which use our settings so every car is under our wing 3: STS Tyre Pros has to use our price platform since the Geometry is pre-purchased. Here is the link to the BB site, the wim format will follow in time but for now please test the site, tare it apart and offer your opinion's on how it works. https://www.blackboots.co.uk/order.php Love you all Tony@ wim

Rich
Link? Just done it.......... It's been a busy day master. I was having a nose earlier, all looks good to me I do have a question though, which I'm sure others may want to know...but what will your policy be on competing with other online tyre suppliers? I know your prices include fitting so you have to factor in delivery and fitting from other companies but are you in a position to price match if found cheaper elsewhere? Tony
No, we monitor a national average and set a price accordingly, same as the rest, so our first price is our best price.

Tony
The tyre make/size list is still being built, there are ten's of thousands in all.
Rich
The tyre make/size list is still being built, there are ten's of thousands in all. You're gonna be getting alot of calls/emails then asking if you do a particular type...how long will it take to complete the lists? What if customers want to order tyres that aren't on there, how will it work buying online or would they need to call and pay over the phone? Tony
All we can do is add them ASAP, it's the same for the geo, we have about 500 cars on the list but i have 25.000 in the machine.
adam_r
Wow. looks like you have alot of work cut out for you guys. I admire the work put in to your extensive push to get better fitters / allignement thoughout the country. it must take HUGE balls, courage and dare i say it... some insanity. I really hope you and the other WIM guys manage to push the market and open peoples eyes on the importance of a correctly set up geo / car. Tony
After only being live for a few days sales have grown nicely, can't really fault the process at the moment although the Geometry side of things is going to kick in anytime soon, simply due to the complexity. jimbob
Another Bug for you Tony sorry... Just tried buying 'just' geometry for an omega earlier than the dates listed in the drop down box... It says price TBC, carry on with you order and we will contact you, but as the total price is £0.00 there is no continue button to move on to the next stage. Advice please, id like to get booked in to Ellesmere Port asap. Cheers Jimbob
Tony
Looking into that...... For now you can buy from the dates listed, it's the same price.

andyelcomb
Just had a look at the online site as I'll probably be bringing in another of my Eunos for alignment, but might try a local affiliate. Noticed one thing though - whilst I know the answer is that it doesn't make any difference, when you put in your model of MX5 it only gives dates from 1993 to 2009. Just looks a bit odd like that and might make someone with an 89-92 car give up?
Tony
Agreed and thanks for the heads up..... As you can see there's still a lot of work to do.
