Rich
As some of you know I like my detailing and the wheel cleaner thread got me thinking. What do you all use to clean your cars, get your pics up! I know I'm in the minority but it's something I enjoy doing I'm not out there every day though cleaning the cars like some of you will think! In fact both of them are abit minging ATM! I've also got some new stuff which isn't in the photos and my polishing machine isn't there neither! Shampoo, polishes, waxes etc Brushes for the arches, wheels and tyres. The black one is for the interior All stored in my tool bag Pads, washmitts, sponges, buckets, gilmour, pump sprayers etc Applicators, MF towels, drying towels and more washmitts
SMARTLY
I thought I had lots, but can't compete with that lot. I have probably got more cloths / rags / terry nappies / microfibres than you though and have real wheel brushes ( not toilet ones ). Plus I have some stuff still for classic cars. Completely Off Topic -roof bars for a Mondeo do they screw under the dorr rubbers? As I have some either from Sierra or Mondeo ( I think ) and want to advertise them for the right car. They are for a Ford I'm pretty sure and as I have bike racks with them I reckon that's the time period of m many Fords I have owned.
Bazza
errrr.........thats a lot of stuff why does it all look clean and new !!!! any bottles i have have drips of whatever is in them, and usually drips of anything else i used the same day

They are real wheel brushes, plus I have another new one. The bog brush is for the arches and the dish brush the tyres Not sure about the bars but I think they fix under the rubbers on mine like you said. I will have a look tomorrow. errrr.........thats a lot of stuff why does it all look clean and new !!!! any bottles i have have drips of whatever is in them, and usually drips of anything else i used the same day It looks clean cos I keep it that way. The mitts, towels and cloths get washed after each use and I can't stand dirty looking bottles!! I haven't used allthe pads but I'm hoping to do more polishing this year as I didn't get the chance last year.

NickT
Daily car I drive through a hand wash and hand over £5 Weekend car I spray on 3m stainless steel cleaner or kitchen sink cleaner or wd40 then wipe off with a piece of kitchen roll. Mind you I am doing car bodywork as a night class and next couple of weeks will be giving my daily motor a going over with 3G and a mop followed by all of the autoglym stuff as E55EX_RACER (without the OCD )

Same as what I have then, see I'm not alone! I might have alot of stuff, although it's nothing compared to some people, but OCD I do not have, lmao, life is too short to be cleaning the car everyday! I don't even clean them during winter and spring/summer it's only once a week or fortnight. A neighbour of mine cleans his car everyday, no joke, I have NEVER seen his motor dirty even during winter!! He's always outside with his quick detailer wiping the panels down. When I first got into this I bought loads of stuff but in the last year I bought a bottle of shampoo, wheel brush & cleaner, plus some sealant I was going to try over winter but never got around to putting it on! Also got a Swissvax freebie with a mag subscription I was thinking of getting some of this wax before they sold out but it was abit expensive for me!! Rich
Sweet, can't go wrong with Megs, although their detailer range has become very pricey recently!! :tongue2: I've got some Dodo juice wax coming, won it in a comp on DW, I have a sample pot in the photos above I've not used yet so if I like it I'll have a big tub as well! It's this one here Plus getting some finger applicators so in total worth 50 quid
aztecbandit1
Thought i was bad enough at collecting bits to clean the car :tongue2: This is my basic's and have about the same again in the shed, for when i'm feeling energetic
Rich
Nice one matey :tongue2: Spotted some Serious Performance bits there...is that the quick detailer? I need to make another order with Alex I think, it's been a while!! What's the blue thing with the autosmart logo on?
SMARTLY
I guessed that was a polisher, although it looks more like a hair dryer in that pic.

I need to make another order with Alex I think, it's been a while!! What's the blue thing with the autosmart logo on? Yes mate, the Serious performance quick detailer is very good, done the skyline now around 10 times with it and only used about an inch out of the bottle, The Autosmart thing is the Autosmart dual random orbit polisher, a bit like the cyclo version but a bit cheaper to buy? works great but getting the polishing heads can be a pain to get, in the grades you want and its a bit big for tight areas, does a great job on bonnets and the sides of the car though Dont know if you've ever tried it mate, but the autosmart tyre dandy and the autosmart 20/20 class cleaner are great, also use the autosmart berry blast deodorizer which is like a fire extinguisher when you use it inside the car

I didn't know Autosmart sold their own one though I've been looking at the SP QD for a while now but I really want to try the FK425...it's suppose to an awesome QD Shame it's so expensive! I've got the number for my local Autosmart rep but not got around to phoning him yet, TBH I don't really need anything else but could probably do with some Tardis (I have a sample to try). Rich
Here's my other new bits...wheel brush, red bottle is wheel cleaner, the Jeffs is sealant in one and quick detailer in the other. The swissvax kit I got free with my Evo magazine trial subscription (worth £35) and also the Dodo Juice wax I won. I was suppose to get Blue Velvet but they sent the Purple Haze instead and the pro version worth £50 so that was a surprise! See here If anyone wants to know how I won it I made the banner on the Pistonheads forum for Auto Finesse - here

Rich
You got a can of Blast love that stuff did you get the berry or the ice? Wrong! I got the cool AS rep had no change and talked me into buying one, they did seem popular though. I've never used an aerosol that 'blasts' like these do! He sprayed the bubblegum for me first and I nearly I don't think it's very popular!

How long does the smell usually last in your car? I think where I've got a leak and the carpet is wet it's killing it off. Mind you only did one blast.
