A couple from the Isle of Wight when we went last Thursday, was actually a nice day for once The missus made several Xmas cakes to give out as presents, here's one of them (was finished with ribbon and put in a cellophane bag) Little Xmas buffet work did - the only time I'm allowed a beer in the office! Large sprout I had on Xmas day, it was yummy!!

liner33
Love that jag, must be awesome driving one. You go to japfest liner, I read the traffic was a nightmare again? I did, the traffic management was again a farce , the weather was awful but on the whole not a bad day but I think it may be my last one The TG team were there filming but not in jap cars , they spent some time on track as well
Rich
Yeah the Jag was great, pitty I only had if for a few hours. Better than not at all and I wouldn't mind your job! Love that jag, must be awesome driving one. You go to japfest liner, I read the traffic was a nightmare again? I did, the traffic management was again a farce , the weather was awful but on the whole not a bad day but I think it may be my last one The TG team were there filming but not in jap cars , they spent some time on track as well That's why we don't go anymore, I can't be doing with sitting in queues for hours. Why would TG film at Japfest when they're not in Jap cars, surely they could do it another day or did they want the big crowds in the background? Rich
Not posted on this thread for ages so here are some snaps from our recent holiday I didn't really use the DSLR! Drinks by the broads, this was in Wroxham Had some nice sunsets while we were there Love the fields around there, they go on for miles! Some local cider, this is just apples and sugar, no chemicals are used and it tastes very nice Breakfast! An horse/donkey sanctuary we went to that takes in abused animals Eating out, which we did a lot of! Some of the broads, would love a holiday home there with my own boat In the summer they have fireworks every week on the beach. It's paid for by the local traders and lasts around 10 minutes, I was pretty impressed. Photos don't do them justice! The beach These 2 are from Cromer, the colour of the sea there is awesome! Aftermath of caravan destruction derby. I did take a video but need to upload it.

Rich
I went to a local pub on Friday afternoon, I've passed it many times before but had never got around to trying it. I'm regretting it now after seeing the view, I will be going more often!!
Rich
Some random photos from the last few days in Norfolk, home on Sunday Birthday drinks from work, I did well this year. Did a 2 hour boat tour of the broads in the afternoon (with a pint ) and a lovely steak pie for dinner! Been for walks down the beach a couple of times too and saw the seals, love it here! Geoffers
It does look lovely there. You had the weather too by the look of it. I must ask my Dad about it and see if he's got any old pics. He was stationed in Lincoln when he was in the RAF and always said he used to love going "down the coast the other side of the wash" when he was on leave. I was only reading about thie coast there the other day and if allowed to go ahead (and worked!) Norfolk would have lost it's North sea coastline and it all would be land contained by huge Dykes across to Europe. The area which is as shallow as only 40m in some places (by comparison) was known as the doggerland. You can read about it HERE
Rich
Thanks Geoff that was an interesting read, so really Europe and the UK are still connected, it's just the sea that's separated them. We're on the East coast but North Norfolk has even nicer sea and beaches. We've been to Hunstanton before and it's a lovely drive along the coast but takes a long time. It's obviously very rural in that part of the county and took us almost 2 hours. In that time we could be nearly home and it's twice the distance. Rich
Went to Hickling Broad nature reserve today, did take the dslr but forgot my zoom lens! Had an awesome steak and ale pie, it was full to the brim with meat! Nice sunset on the way back
Geoffers
Something good about flat areas - more open and fresher. Probably becuase you can see pretty much to the horizon with nothing little in the way. I could eat that pie right now, I'm starving! Tony
Not as gig as the pie in the last image .......But it does explain why there's no nature on the reserve
